Meyer's Castle is hands down one of the most unique and breathtaking wedding venues in the Midwest! It's a true Indiana gem and the perfect spot for an unforgettable wedding. The ceremony spot on the veranda, perched atop the hill, is absolutely stunning, one of the loveliest in the state. The castle grounds offer endless photo ops with the majestic castle as your backdrop, not to mention the gorgeous gardens, walls, and arbors. And let's not forget about the food - it’s fantastic! I can't recommend it enough!

This venue is amazing, I don't even know where to begin. Eva is so kind and helpful, she genuinely cares about each of her brides. Olia is so professional and hardworking. Every one of our guests described the venue as beautiful, gorgeous, and stunning. Our photos were the most beautiful because everywhere you look, there's a photo-worthy spot. The bar area was perfect. The outdoor cocktail hour was perfect, as well as the indoor reception. The kids loved the koi pond. Seriously, the most picture-perfect day. Thank you, Olia and Eva, for all that you do to make this venue the absolute best!! If I could have my wedding day over, I'd choose this place every time.

Ah, this venue is a true gem! What sets it apart is the meticulous upkeep throughout. But the best part? When you later receive your wedding photos - they will be like those from a bridal fashion magazine, with this Pinterest-worthy venue as your backdrop. Everyone here is incredibly kind and welcoming. Seriously, you can't go wrong with this place. No other venue in the area will make your guests jaws drop.

My husband and I cannot recommend this venue enough to anyone looking to get married in Chicago. The venue is located a very short distance from the city, and honestly, the traffic from the city to Indiana is nearly not as bad as the Northern Suburbs. The venue itself is gorgeous for the ceremony as well as the reception! Maria, our wedding coordinator, was able to calm all our nerves, make the planning process so easy, and the fact that they have optional in-house vendors helped take off so much from our plate. She is such a valuable asset to the wedding planning aspect, and she was a delight to work with: so kind, patient, and fun! Plus, every one of our wedding guests kept raving about how beautiful the venue was and how seamless it appeared. We got married in October 2025, and the gardens were spectacular. They were just as green as if we had chosen to get married in the summer. We toured the venue in the summer so we can really compare!

Meyer's Castle is situated just 12 miles from the city's border, or a 35-minute drive from downtown Chicago. A common misconception arises due to our Indiana location, leading many couples to believe it is far. In reality, from the second floor of our venue, you can see the skyline of downtown Chicago, positioning our estate much closer to the city than the majority of suburbs.

Meyer's Castle can accommodate from 30 to 350 guests, as we have multiple ballrooms with varying guest capacities and ceremony areas to choose from.

Meyer's Castle exclusively provides in-house catering services. We do not permit outside catering. Please contact us to request an informational guide with menu options.

Our estate is open seven days a week. Please be aware that weekend appointments book quickly, and there is often a waiting list, as many couples prefer to tour the venue on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend appointments are limited because they cannot interfere with scheduled events. It is also worth noting that all venues, including Meyer's Castle, are currently in the midst of the engagement season. This means that 40% of prime dates (May-Oct 2025 & 2026) will be booked by couples between Thanksgiving and St. Valentine's Day. It is highly recommended to schedule a venue tour now to secure your desired event date.

No, our venue is fully insured, so our clients do not need to purchase additional insurance. However, each of your outside vendors must provide us with their own liability insurance.

No, Meyer's Castle hosts events all year long. The snowy grounds with the historic castle in the background is a perfect canvas for a Winter Wonderland themed event.

Clients are allowed to bring their dog for outdoor ceremonies, and outdoor receptions only. Client must book a licensed wedding pet attendant , who will be handling and assisting throughout the event, including on-leash exercising, hydrating, and pottying. Only Service Animals are allowed to the indoor portion of the Meyer’s Castle. No emotional support animals are permitted indoors.

Meyer's Castle Estate is a picture-perfect playground. Our couples enjoy 16 acres of exquisitely manicured gardens, providing a breathtaking backdrop for creating incredible memories to be captured in your photo album. With our venue being a decoration in itself, minimal additional decor is needed. It offers complete privacy, is gated, and secluded from the outside world—truly a slice of Europe located just 12 miles away from Chicago. It's not your typical venue with just a beautiful ballroom.
