About this venue

Located on the North Shore of Oahu, Sunset Ranch is one the most exclusive private estates in Hawaii. The 30-acre property has panoramic ocean and mountain views of the entire northwest side of the island, and is home to six event venues, avocado and lychee orchards, an aquaculture site, two apiaries, a butterfly house, botanical gardens, and a family of horses. Our team understands that every couple has a vision for their special day. With this in mind, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to design and create an event tailored just for you. Our package offerings include what we have identified as the 'ten core elements' to hosting a successful event at Sunset Ranch. Our package offerings are flexible: (1) we finalize invoicing to your head count, (2) we customize packages to your vision and budget, and (3) we provide full category credits. Sunset Stables is our indoor venue at Sunset Ranch and provides approximately 9600 square feet of space. It has large barn doors on both ends, white walls, and three large crystal chandeliers. The venue is easily partitioned with elegant drapery to accommodate a variety of event sizes and set-ups.

Sunset Ranch exceeded all our expectations! Not only do they include so much in their package, they are willing to work with you on your vision for your wedding day. They provide, florals, rentals, catering, desserts, bar and more! This made the planning process so much easier on my end because I didn't have to hunt for vendors and they also provide a list of preferred vendors if i needed help finding some. We loved that we didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day. There was little to no questions on last minute decisions. The day went so smoothly and the team took care of literally everything. Alia was a God-sent. We worked with her from start to finish. She communicated in such a timely and kind manner. Was transparent with logistics, timeline, and when our ideas got to crazy she offered cheaper alternatives. We were pretty stress free throughout my whole wedding planning process because they made everything so easy. They communicated with our other vendors on timeline and any changes. They help build our timeline. When we had any last minute additions even on the week of our wedding they made it happen! We would choose this venue over and over again. The property was secluded which we loved because a lot of the venues we visited in Oahu you can be open to the public. The ferns gardens, where we had our ceremony, was breath taking. It's a plus there's shade for your guests! We loved that everything is a short skip away from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception which is easy for your wedding party and guests. The reception at Charlie's Pond was covered by a beautiful white tent with a view of the field overlooking the ocean cliff. All in all, if you want an A team, efficiency during planning, good communication, timely communication, a kind planner, beautiful views, and the ease of a one-stop shop but still customizable to you and your partner, Sunset Ranch is the best choice.

We would love to shout out Sunset Ranch Hawai'i (and the Owner of the Ranch, Greg) for giving us the opportunity to host our wedding at the most beautiful ranch here on O'ahu! It was everything we've imagined and more, and we wouldn't have it any other way. The whole day was just perfect, and the entire staff, and all the vendors from the package, just made the day even more special! Sunset Ranch offers all-inclusive wedding packages which absolutely takes the stress off of wedding planning! It really helped knowing that our package included the majority of the big vendors like catering, table/chairs/decor, DJ/desserts, florals, and more. These are usually things that most wedding couples would have to find and pay for a la carte, but Sunset Ranch truly makes that part of wedding planning so so easy! Not only is the ranch a STUNNING venue, and super charming, its isolated location made our wedding even more intimate! It was so beautiful! The venue was perfect, as well as the views from the ranch (being it is at the top of a mountain); the scenic views of Waimea Valley (from Fern's Garden), as well as Waimea Beach, and of course, we can't forget the breathtaking sunset that you can watch straight from Sunset Ranch! It truly was a magical day. We would also like to shout out our AMAZING Coordinator, Jonah, from Sunset Ranch, for helping us throughout the entire wedding process! From the wedding planning, all the way up to the day of the wedding, Jonah's been nothing short of amazing! She truly embodied her role as our Coordinator and ensured that we were able to really have the wedding of our dreams. Everything ran so smoothly on the day of our wedding & we truly want to thank Jonah for that! We miss her already! We can't thank Sunset Ranch enough! It was such the perfect place to celebrate our big day and we'd choose it over and over again. Maybe one day we'll renew our vows there too! We'll forever hold Sunset Ranch near and dear to our hearts.

We got married on 5/5/25 at Sunset Ranch, and honestly—I’m still in awe, which is why this review has been a long time coming. If I could give Sunset Ranch 6 stars, I absolutely would. The entire team did an incredible job bringing our vision to life. Our coordinator, Alia, was an absolute dream to work with—organized, kind, and on top of every detail. She made the planning process feel seamless, especially with the Sunset Stables Signature package. Everything was perfect—from the stunning florals and delicious catering to the beautiful décor, lively music, and top-tier service. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how amazing our wedding was, and it truly wouldn’t have been the same without the team at Sunset Ranch. To be honest, this was the one and only venue we toured while planning our wedding. But after meeting Greg and learning everything Sunset Ranch had to offer, we were completely sold. We’re forever grateful for their warmth, professionalism, and the unforgettable memories they helped us create

Hawaii is a busy wedding destination year-round. That said, ‘busy season’ at Sunset Ranch (and most all venues) is March through October. Busy ‘booking’ season is November through February. Based on demand, we take bookings anywhere from two weeks out to 18 to 24 months out. We recommend you consider a courtesy hold at Sunset Ranch if you plan to get married within the next two years.

Absolutely! We work with you throughout the planning process to design and create a wedding that is tailored to you. While we work with select vendors who we consider the best on Oahu, our packages provide flexibility through: (1) finalization of invoicing to your exact final head count, (2) customizations by element (floral is always customized), and (3) full category credits (you don’t need an officiant? No problem, we credit it back to you on your final invoice). Every wedding is unique and we do our best to design and create your special day to you vision.

We work with an event management company to secure discounted room rates for our clients, often securing rates below what they are able to get on their own. You can choose any hotel on Oahu. We normally recommend one that might be more of a resort offering, and one a little more budget friendly. We start the process to secure room blocks shortly after you book with us. This allows you to include hotel room blocks in your invitations to guests. We also stage all transport to and from hotel accommodations. Remember, all transport is included in our packages.

Great question! We have a Plan B for each and every event at Sunset Ranch. At 30 days out, we review a map of our venues with you and finalize all event uses at each venue. Remember, at Sunset Ranch you have exclusive access to six different venues. We host no other activity on the day of your event. Once venues are selected and finalized, we discuss a plan with you in the event of weather. Having hosted over 1400 events at Sunset Ranch, we have seen most everything and we have great options. Our number one goal is to give you peace of mind that everything will be great, regardless of the weather!

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps to the getting ready guest suites and bathroom trailers.

Yes we have on-site parking available and also work with experienced transportation companies on Oahu.
