At the heart of the property stands a beautiful white barn —over 7,500 square feet of elegant, open space perfect for hosting up to 250 guests. Beautiful Venue in Northern CA
As a wedding planner, I’ve had the pleasure of coordinating multiple events at River Highlands Ranch, and it’s truly one of my favorite venues to work at. The property is absolutely stunning—spacious, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty that adds so much charm to every wedding. The venue is thoughtfully laid out, making it easy for vendors to work together seamlessly, and the staff is always kind, responsive, and professional. It’s a hidden gem that offers both elegance and a relaxed country feel, perfect for couples looking to celebrate in a peaceful and beautiful setting. I always look forward to returning!
The Venue Was Even Better Than We Hoped
As wedding photographers, my husband and I have worked at just about every venue in the Sacramento and Sierra Foothills area—so when it came time to plan our own wedding, we didn’t even have to think twice. River Highlands Ranch was the one. The venue is seriously stunning. The barn has an elegant, elevated feel, but it’s still totally relaxed and surrounded by vineyards, gardens, rolling hills, and open space that just makes you breathe easier. We had a small wedding and did our ceremony under the oak tree, and it was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous. There were SO many great spots for photos- the garden, vineyards, orchard, stream, pond, rolling hills, and of course the barn with it's huge green doors and beautiful vines surrounding the doorways. One of the biggest perks was how much was already included. Beautiful farm tables, lounge furniture, cocktail tables, draping, lighting—it all looked amazing and saved us so much money (and stress). We also loved that we could bring our own alcohol. The staff were also awesome. Everyone was kind, helpful, and made sure things ran smoothly so we could actually enjoy the day. Our guests loved the space—and even in the middle of summer, the fire pit was a hit. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that’s beautiful, easy, and has everything you need without a ton of extra work, I can’t recommend River Highlands Ranch enough.
