Our wedding was the first to be held at Evergreen Creek on 05/31/25 with about 100 people in attendance. While there is an understanding that with being the first customers of a business, there may be some things that do not go to plan, however frequent miscommunications and changes to the original vision agreed upon brought much frustration to our planning process. Not without positives, the venue itself is very pretty, there is no denying this, and widespread feedback from guests was that the bathrooms were very well done, with excellent air conditioning (ironically this is where some of my guests sought refuge from the tipi the reception was held in). Unfortunately, the negatives felt more impactful. 1. Before deciding on venue, ensure all business partners are present when expectations are being set for your wedding, we toured in February, prior to the venue being completed we spoke with the owner of the property, Eric, he mentioned he had a business partner, Nate, however Nate was not involved in the initial touring process which caused many problems later- there was an attempt at remedying some things, however in large part, the experience we were “sold” was not at all what we got. 2. The venue is advertised as including a grooms quarters and a bridal suite. 2 cabins are offered to be rented out (green and white) one of these cabins is also considered the grooms quarters, meaning there are 3 buildings, not 4. This was initially very confusing as we were trying to accommodate for guests coming from out of town. The bridal suite is its own building, very near to the ceremony area, but the grooms quarters/ the cabins available to rent are a ways away from the ceremony area. 3. The tipi is not sealed, two ac units are present, but for both our rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself, the tent was uncomfortably warm. Upon arrival to the rehearsal dinner at 6pm the tent thermostat was reading 89 degrees, and it took several hours to cool off. The day of the wedding, I arrived to the venue at 12pm,the thermostat was reading 93 degrees and by 6pm when the ceremony was starting the tipi was still 85 degrees despite best efforts (leaving doors closed and spraying water on the outside of the tipi) Please if you book your event here, ensure there is an outlined agreement for A/C to be monitored and maintained prior to your event. 4. I had several guests in wheelchairs. The air conditioning proved to be the most troublesome for my elderly guests, however the pathways surrounding the venue are fairly narrow with steep drop offs, this made it difficult, however not impossible, for wheelchair dependent guests to maneuver throughout the property. The benches that are for seating during the reception sit two people per bench and these were also difficult to navigate seeing as after setting up tables for all the guests, the space was cramped, and it left little room to navigate where to seat guests who were wheelchair dependent. Overall, this is but a snapshot of the frustrations we encountered throughout this process, but widespread feedback from guests and vendors was that the venue and event staff had much room for improvement. If I had the option to go back to February when we initially toured the venue, I would have chosen to host my wedding elsewhere.

Hi Makenzie, Thank you again for being our very first wedding at Evergreen Creek — we genuinely appreciate your trust and are truly sorry to hear the experience didn’t fully meet expectations. As with many new venues, there were growing pains as we transitioned from construction to full operation, and we acknowledge that your event revealed areas needing improvement. Your feedback has already helped us address several of those directly: Cooling System Upgrade: We’ve upgraded our A/C system in the tipi, doubling the cooling capacity, and we now follow a strict pre-cooling protocol before all events to ensure a comfortable experience for guests, even during peak Texas heat. Cabin & Venue Layout Clarification: We've updated how our bridal suite and grooms’ quarters are described during tours and on our website to prevent confusion about cabin use and proximity. Accessibility Improvements: We’re currently widening certain pathways and adjusting ceremony/reception layouts to improve mobility for wheelchair users and elderly guests. While we can't change how the day felt for you, we’ve taken your experience to heart and used it to improve every wedding that follows. We truly wish you and Chris the best and thank you for helping us build a better Evergreen Creek. Sincerely, Nathaniel Jose Owner, Evergreen Creek

We were drawn to Evergreen Creek because of how different it is from typical venues. The tipis are stunning inside and out, and we loved the mix of indoor comfort and outdoor beauty. Being able to bring in our own vendors made planning so much easier for us. Our photos by the creek are absolutely incredible, and our guests said it was one of the most memorable weddings they’ve ever attended.

  • The most magical wedding day.

Evergreen Creek was everything we dreamed of and more. We had our ceremony under the cedar arches with the river in the background, and it felt like a fairy tale. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the air-conditioned tipis — they were gorgeous and super comfortable even in May heat. The indoor and outdoor dance floors were a huge hit. The team made sure everything ran smoothly. We can’t recommend them enough!!
