About this venue
Since 2006 we have been Santa Monica's neighborhood spot for specialty coffee, wine, beer & good food. When it's time to throw a party we are the best and easiest place around to host your events. We specialize in welcome events to kickoff the weekend and goodbye brunches but we've also hosted our fair share of wedding receptions as well. Our focus is to keep things simple and fair for our guests when they book events with us.

Bride
The Bodega Wine Bar was the perfect choice for our rehearsal dinner. The communication with the staff was super easy - they were very responsive and accommodating as we planned the event. While it did get a little loud at times, there was plenty of space for our guests to mingle and enjoy the casual, laidback vibe. We were looking for a space that felt relaxed and comfortable, and this wound up being the perfect fit. The fact that it was walking distance from our hotel was an added bonus. Overall, Bodega Wine Bar helped make our rehearsal dinner a success and a great start to our wedding weekend.

We chose this wine bar for our rehearsal dinner and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like family – they were attentive without being intrusive and went above and beyond to make our celebration special. The drinks were phenomenal! Their wine selection is clearly curated with care, and the cocktails were creative and expertly crafted. Our guests were raving about both the quality and the variety available. What really made the evening was the atmosphere – the music was spot-on, creating the perfect backdrop for conversation and celebration without ever being too loud. The whole vibe was effortlessly casual and welcoming, which was exactly what we wanted for bringing together family and friends before our big day. It felt intimate and relaxed, letting everyone truly enjoy each other's company. The space struck that perfect balance of being sophisticated enough for a special occasion while still feeling comfortable and unpretentious. Our rehearsal dinner here was truly magical, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue or experience. Highly recommend for any special occasion – or honestly, just a great night out. 40th Birthday
I recently celebrated my 40th birthday here with about 120 friends and family, and I couldn’t have picked a better venue. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff was friendly, attentive, and on top of every detail, which made the night stress-free and so enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and to my surprise, the cocktails ended up being the highlight of the night—even at a wine bar! Guests were raving about them all evening. The space itself was ideal, with the flexibility to use both the indoor and outdoor areas, giving the party a great flow and plenty of room for everyone to mingle. I’m still hearing from guests about how much fun they had. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on atmosphere, service, and food & drinks, this is it.
