Full Service Wedding Coordination packages are for the couple who want a full-time wedding professional overseeing every aspect of their wedding day or weekend! | Our Partial Planning Package is an ideal option for the couple who may have already completed portions of their planning and require less assistance than a Full Service Package. This package is designed to allow the couple a hands-on role in their planning activities along with our professional assistance to guide them along the way. | Day Of Coordination is a perfect option if you want to plan a majority of your wedding but need a professional wedding coordinator in the background to answer questions, offer advice and coordinate the details on the wedding day so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your perfect event. |

Cancelled on us the day before the wedding
We booked Samantha in 2024 for day of coordination services for our 2025 wedding. The day before our wedding, we recieved an email informing us that since she is closing her business, she would not be completing our wedding as planned. THE DAY BEFORE (and the day that she was set to lead the rehearsal). We noticed the prior weekend that her social media pages and website were gone so we believe that she intentionally bailed on us for another reason, citing the closing of the business as an excuse (because with her social media and website gone, she had probably planned this for days to weeks prior). She is refunding us all but the security deposit. Upon fighting to get greater payment returned, she cites that the contract allows her to maintain the total deposit. But per her contract, she is to seek us a replacement planner and has ignored our request for proof that she tried to find us another planner for our wedding day, which is a breach of contract if she cannot verify. Her communication prior to the wedding was a bit slow and the work that she has put in towards vendor communication and timeline building was limited. The final timeline was riddled with errors and never actually sent to the other vendors despite claiming to have done so. I would not have spent the money at all if I had known she would do this because the few things she contributed were things I could have done myself and ended up having to fix anyways. If you currently have her booked for your wedding, just know that if she hasn't reached out to cancel on you she will. I hope that she does not do it the day before like she did for mine. I wish her the best but pray she never tries to re-enter this industry again in the future.
11.16.2024 The Best Day of Our Lives
Sam was hands down the best person to have coordinate my wedding. She was efficient, punctual, trustworthy, and so unconditionally kind. As the DIY bride that I was, it was hard for me to trust others with understanding my vision. Well, I barely had to describe some details to her and she just “got it”! Let me elaborate. Due to timing, my group was unable to decorate the ceremony space day before as planned. It was a huge stressor of mine because no other party members were able to do it for me. When Sam came to run our rehearsal instead of asking me “what do you want me to do?” She asked me, “what is stressing you out”. That question was way easier for me to come up with an answer for than the million possible tasks I could have had her do. I told her how the ceremony space not being decorated before the wedding day terrified me, because I would have to have my groomsmen do it, and not be able to see it before walking down the aisle. Sam calmly responded “I got you”. Somehow she said exactly what I needed to hear. Saturday when she arrived, she decorated the entire space, and not once did I worry about it again. The first time I saw the ceremony space was, in fact, when I walked down the aisle. It took my breath away She, somehow, was able to coral my groomsmen, communicate with vendors when I couldn't, and allow my day to flow smoothly. There was not one request I had that Sam responded with any resistance, a no, or made me think any part of my vision was impossible. She offered solutions and constructive criticism in a professional and loving way. If you know me, I tend to be anxious and strive for perfection. Sam strives for perfection and has such a calm disposition. This is why we were the perfect match. I am also a bridal hair stylist/ makeup artist. So I understand the chaos behind weddings. I loved her from a client perspective, but I also pray I get to work with her as a fellow vendor soon. My other vendors expressed how lovely and organized she was. I could go on forever about how amazing and crucial she was to the success of our wedding. But, unfortunately there is a character limit. So, I will leave you with this. She is wonderful. She is precise. She is sweet. She is worth EVERY PENNY of your investment. You will not regret anything. WOW! What can I say about The Black Barn Event Planning other than AMAZING! Not only was Sam a true lifesaver- she also became a dear friend in the process. She was available to help with all of my questions and needs- also taking so much off of my plate. WEDDING PLANNING IS STRESSFUL!
