    I am a few months late for this review, but any San Diego, CA or Darlington House couples – please read and go ahead and book Julie as your wedding planner/coordinator! Julie is an incredible wedding planner and is responsible for our perfect May 2025 Darlington House wedding. She came recommended from the venue coordinator, Carly, and upon doing my own research, I reached out to her for a preliminary call. She has done hundreds of weddings at Darlington House and it was clear upon the first conversation with her that she knew the venue like the back of her hand. Her experience at the venue is invaluable because of her standing relationship with Carly, all the caterers, and most likely all the other wedding vendors you will plan to use! We happily booked her for month of plus coordination services which was perfect for our needs. Throughout the 14 months of wedding planning, Julie patiently answered all my questions, helped us decide on vendors, and gave us her expert opinion. During our wedding weekend, she was present, organized, and ensured everything went smoothly. I truly felt like I had ZERO worries on our wedding day because Julie was there to coordinate and manage every detail of the day. And if there were any issues on our wedding day, I had no idea! Everything was perfect. And just to share an example of how she went above and beyond for our wedding – my niece’s flower girl basket was left behind at the end of the night and she stopped by our after-party location to ensure that it safely got to us and to share her well wishes.     Not so long ago I was a bride to be. I am very hands on and thought i could do my entire wedding and run the day by myself. I am glad I listened to my peers and got someone to help. I scoured the internet and did a ton of research before i came across The best wedding for you. From my experience with Julie i can advise you to look no further. You found your planner and you can stop looking. Julie handled my diverse crowd of personalities, help me with vendors, removed barriers and stressors and put me at ease especially on the day and her efforts BTS. She was very flexible on rehearsal day and the wedding party enjoyed her positive energy!. Thank you Julie for Delivering on my dream wedding!

    TL;DR: Julie was an absolute lifesaver for our weddings! We had two events: a secular ceremony and traditional Indian one and Julie provided her expertise for both. Without Julie handling our vendors, communication, and small details, our weddings would not have gone as smoothly as they did! Her communication was always prompt and she always kept our preferences in mind when making decisions on our behalf. Her expertise and professionalism went a long way when dealing with vendors and we still cherish her kindness and dedication to us (the bride and groom--now married)! Thank you so much Julie for making our weddings so memorable and perfect!! Detailed review: Prior to the events, we had detailed calls with Julie and told her about vendors we already decided on as well as vendors we still needed. For those we still needed, Julie was able to provide some recommendations. Given her years of expertise in this field, she was really helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Julie handled most (if not all!) communications with the vendors and other email communications, but always kept us in the loop which was really helpful. She expertly dealt with problem vendors, folks who took too long to respond to us, and emergencies with vendors. She also would be in constant communication with our venues to ensure our vendors could arrive at the right time, provide us with a proper timeline, and take care of insurance/health and safety/etc. paperwork as needed. Again, because she has worked in this field for such a long time, she really knew what questions to ask and what details needed to be considered while we could not have even thought of this stuff! On the day of our events, Julie and her team were at our venue and double-checking that our vendors were there and that things were going according to schedule and plan. Julie had put together timelines for both us (the wedding party) and our vendors which was incredibly helpful to ensure we stayed on track. Julie was there holding open doors, fixing the train on the bride's dress, and directing guests. She did all the work in the background so that the wedding party and the guests could really enjoy themselves. We also found ourselves with guests who had not RSVP'd and Julie was so quick in finding them seats and figuring out their situation. In addition, she accommodated all last-minute requests when possible and was always by our (the bride and groom's!) side when it came to minor issues on the wedding days--which was really appreciated! Julie also made sure we were fed and kept aside food and drinks for us while we were busy with pictures, greetings, and reception events. We were so thankful for that! Overall, we would recommend Julie a thousand times over! We really felt she went above and beyond during the whole wedding process!! She was really the rock that grounded us during our weddings and we really needed her expertise during our planning phase. If you are looking for someone who has incredible wedding planning expertise in San Diego and who is an organized, prompt, professional, and kind wedding planner, then Julie really is the right pick.
