I started my career working in Catering Sales at an upscale Country Club. During my time in this career, I did my best to learn the industry and gain knowledge of how food and beverage runs on the backside of an event as well as how to accurately run an event timeline. During my time at the Country Club, I assisted with nearly 450 weddings plus hundreds of other non-ceremonial events. Although this career required a lot of invested time, I am forever grateful for all that I've learned and have been able to keep with me during my own event planning. After departing from the Country Club, my husband and I started our own little family.

After our son was born in January 2014, I started planning weddings on my own, which then led into something greater than I could ever have imagined. I officially started 'Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events' in August 2016 and have been beyond blessed with the most incredible couples and most amazing weddings and events since then. I live such a wonderful life; I get to be a part of others happiness and then come home to my own creation of happiness - my husband, my son and my daughter! I look forward to meeting you and learning how I can make your wedding planning process the absolute best possible!

    Vanessa Mauricio with Kelly Kennedy Weddings & Events is truly amazing! She is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and has the perfect personality for a wedding coordinator — always calm, cool, and collected. Vanessa organized every single detail of our wedding day down to the minute, which allowed us to completely relax and enjoy every moment leading up to and during our wedding. She began working with us about a month before our big day, and once she came on board, she took the reins with every one of our vendors to make sure everything went off without a hitch. She and her assistant even took care of all of our wedding décor — from unpacking our boxes and beautifully decorating the venue to packing everything up again at the end of the night. Vanessa also greeted guests, guided them between our rooftop ceremony and 3rd-floor ballroom reception, and made sure every part of the evening flowed seamlessly. There wasn’t a single detail she didn’t oversee or execute perfectly. I honestly can’t imagine what our wedding would have been like without her. She made everything work with such ease, professionalism, sincerity, and kindness. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone getting married in the area — she’s the best!

    We worked with Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events for our November wedding, and I cannot recommend Kelly enough! We chose her Full Service package, and it was worth every bit. She helped us pull together the entire wedding in just six months, and from the very beginning she made the planning process feel manageable and fun. Kelly took my ideas and helped me create a vision that perfectly reflected what we wanted—a casual, walk-around style reception with incredible food stations, a live band, and an atmosphere that felt effortless yet unforgettable. One of the best parts of working with Kelly was not having to worry about set-up—or asking my family and friends to do it. Everything was taken care of, which allowed all of us to simply enjoy the day. Kelly was so easy to work with, always organized, and kept us on track without ever making the process feel overwhelming. Most importantly, she made sure that on the wedding day itself I was able to truly relax and enjoy every moment without stress. Everything flowed seamlessly, and it was clear how much time, effort, and care she put into making our day perfect.     Kelly from Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events is a dream to work with. She is exceptionally organized, detail oriented and just a joy to be around. From a vendors standpoint, she is the planner you want your clients to hire. When Kelly is in charge of a wedding, I know there will be no details, big or small, overlooked. Kelly and her team are wonderful at communicating with fellow vendors to collaborate and make sure everything at her weddings go seamlessly. Along with her impeccable organization skills, Kelly is just a lovely person all around. She is extremely professional and is always friendly and caring.
