We had the best experience with Mailyse. Despite a shorter timeline for our wedding planning, Mailyse helped us make everything we wanted come true. Even more importantly, she helped with the parts we didn't know we wanted -- she was patient and never flustered at our many moments of indecisiveness, even creating beautiful mood boards and concepts for us to choose from and help visualize everything. We were beyond impressed with her ability to find the vendors that fit us best, and her knowledge of Newport was invaluable. While the support with planning and designing was great, we were truly blown away by everything Mailyse handled during wedding weekend. From the moment we handed off everything to her at the venue, we knew we were in good hands. She seemed to be in every location at once, managing the venue, parents, friends, and of course us - not an easy feat when the weekend was under constant weather concerns. It is impossible to imagine the weekend being a success without her, and it's hard to imagine the sheer volume of tasks / stress she took off our plates (and I'm sure we don't even know about many of the fires she put out without us knowing). We would highly recommend Mailyse to anyone, and if we can find any excuse to work with her again we will!!

My husband and I planned a very big wedding in a very short time frame. It was not an easy feat at all, and Mailyse did a phenomenal job. She was a God sent! We took a chance on her as ours was the first wedding she had planned in Charleston (even though she had extensive wedding planning experience in the Northeast). She planned the most incredible, detail oriented wedding. I had so many compliments on how well the wedding was planned and that people were impressed by how well we paid attention to every little detail. Mailyse’s attention to detail and organization was admirable. I trusted her suggestions with every decision from design to budget to everything in between. When I spilled steak sauce all over my dress, Mailyse was there in a second with fabric wipes. When I started to feel indigestion after dinner, Mailyse had tums ready for me. When one of my bridesmaids dresses didn’t fit the morning of the wedding, Mailyse was there to offer a creative solution. She paid attention to everything that was important to my husband and I, like making sure we maximized our time on the dance floor. She structured our wedding day schedule to accommodate our wishes and found flexible ways to do that when the dinner came out slower than we had anticipated. Our wedding was the best day of my life and there’s no way I could have made that happen without Mailyse! I would recommend her to anyone with glowing reviews. She’s also extremely personable and someone I’m excited to continue a friendship with after the wedding is over. Definitely go with Events By Mailyse!

As the father of the bride, I wasn't directly involved in the planning process, but I saw firsthand the difference Mailyse made. For over a year, she worked closely with my wife and daughter, meeting multiple times each month. I could tell from their conversations that Mailyse not only brought her expertise but also a calming presence that reassured them every step of the way. She instilled confidence that everything would go as planned—and it went even better than we imagined. When I met Mailyse on the wedding day, I immediately noticed how seamlessly she coordinated every detail. She had everything under control, organized the items we had dropped off, and kept us all on schedule. If any issues arose, she handled them quietly and efficiently, allowing us to focus on enjoying the evening. This was our first experience planning a wedding, and I can't imagine how anyone could do it without her. Mailyse was invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for her role in making the day so special. Look no further!! Mailyse is truly incredible at what she does - she goes beyond the scope of her work to ensure that prep, design, and day of coordination goes as smoothly as possible. During the planning process, Mailyse was always available to chat through ideas or concerns about catering, music, timing, etc. (not to mention she has great connections). She also brought a design expertise that we were sooooo thankful for - she helped us think through everything from the wedding colors, floral arrangements, placements of the string lights, to rehearsal dinner locations. She was so detail-oriented and considerate of our budget and brought really interesting and creative ideas to cut costs. I felt like she put as much time, energy, and thought into planning our wedding as she would have her own. During the actual wedding day, we didn't have to stress or think about any of the plans - Mailyse was already three steps ahead, putting out mini fires that we weren't even aware of until after the fact. She will be your friend, advocate, and trusted planner through it all!
