I’m Magnus Savage, owner of Savage Wedding Co. (formerly The Toasted Brew), a Portland, Maine–based wedding photographer. I photograph weddings with a balance of structure and freedom. I let moments happen naturally when they can, and I step in when they need direction. The goal is simple: keep the day moving, keep things honest, and leave room for creativity where it matters most.

I show up with a mohawk standing tall, tattoos visible, a cup of coffee in hand, and a grounded presence that keeps things real. I’m comfortable letting moments be what they are — quiet, maybe a little awkward at times, unpolished. I don’t rush past them or try to fix them. I let things be. P.S. If we could give Magnus 1,000 stars, we would! He was an amazing addition to our wedding day as our photographer and DJ! He captured the most special of moments for us to cherish forever, and we’ve received countless compliments on his work and how awesome and personable he was the day of. Magnus had us all tearing up the dance floor with his great DJing. We had a DIY backyard wedding, and he went above and beyond in respectfully suggesting ways to go about certain aspects of our day that made things flow effortlessly. Not only did we love having Magnus there for our big day, but our friends and family did too!

Magnus was such an awesome photographer. We wanted someone who would capture both the staged and "real" moments of our special day and he did! He is also friendly and down-to-earth. There aren't many photographers who will also have casual conversations with you as well. He cared about getting to know us so he could match the vibe in his photography. He incorporated our vision for our day and captured both the large and small moments. We can't recommend him enough! Thanks Magnus!

I could not have asked for a better experience. The Toasted Brew did our engagement and wedding photos as well as DJ’d and was a fantastic emcee. Our guests were dancing quite literally the whole time and the photos captured the true emotion going on. I HIGHLY recommend!!!
