When I went to college I knew I wanted to have a career that allowed me to work with people and so I studied Social Work and Psychology! Photography was a hobby but when my friend found her self with no photographer days before her wedding, she asked if I could shoot her day and from the first wedding I was hooked! 11 years later and I think I have the best job on the planet. I have been married to the love of my life Jordan for 6 years now and she is the extra magic in Swiger Photography. We have a lil rescue pup named Furgie and spend our free time trying new bourbons and exploring Philadelphia!

We are LGBTQ+ owned and proudly photograph all bodies, skin tones, presentations, and types of love. There are so many people not represented in the wedding industry and all those folks are welcome here. All of our couples receive at least 75 images within 72 hours of their wedding day so they can instantly relieve the magic. We also deliver more images than most. We value both emotional, candid moments but also know our couples often feel nervous about being in front of the camera. So we balance candid photos with prompts and posing so that what you receive leaves you feeling like the best version of yourself, but very much still you.

    Obviously the best part of our wedding was marrying my wife (!!) but a close runner up was getting to know and work with Amanda! In addition to being an excellent photographer, she is just a charming, lovely, and warm person who is a genuine pleasure to be around. Having Amanda as our photographer felt like we had an extra friend at the wedding! She went above and beyond her professional obligations to make a comfortable atmosphere for all our guests and made a specific effort ahead of the wedding to get to know us and our preferences. During the wedding planning stages she even helped us out by giving advice on her knowledge of venues as we were looking for one and helped us figure out timings and order of events for the day of the wedding! During the cocktail hour my bustling for my dress accidentally ripped out and Amanda and her wife took it upon themselves to help me fix it alongside my wedding party members, which was so kind of them and a perfect example of the kind of person Amanda is. My wife is not terribly comfortable in front of cameras but Amanda did an excellent job of making them feel relaxed and natural as the subject of photography rather than the one behind the camera. Our wedding party members, friends, and family had nothing but positive things to say about her to us after the wedding, and we were especially impressed with her quick turnaround time on sending us previews of the wedding photos. Amanda’s assistant Rylan took the photos for our sangeet the night before our wedding and did an admirable job of adapting to the chaos of a mostly-unstructured event. He graciously accommodated unscheduled requests for family group photos even though we had initially asked him to come to capture mostly candids. When a double rainbow appeared during sunset he made sure to capture photos of us with it!

    Swiger Photography was the only vendor we didn’t have to think about. Having previously worked with Amanda during a mini-session we knew right away that we had to book her. We felt comfortable with her posing, free to be ourselves and completely respected. Nothing was ever pushed on us to try to “up sell” and we never felt we were getting handled or ignored. We’re really lucky to have had Amanda and her team there to celebrate with us on our wedding day and are crazy lucky to now call them friends. We love Swiger Photography!

    I have known Amanda both professionally and personally for several years, and when the time came to choose my own wedding photographer, there was no question that she was it. She is incredibly professional, personable, and has a way to bring the light out of every person who stands in front of her camera. She works with such ease and confidence that there was not a single moment that I felt stressed during our day, because I knew our moments were being captured.
