Hi! I'm Penny! I live in beautiful coastal New England, freezing slices of time in photo format since 2010 and I’m so lucky to love what I do. I strive to make my clients feel seen, at ease, and authentic. That’s just how the best pictures are made! There’s a lot of shape-shifting between director, fly-on-the-wall, and all the roles in between which means offering structure in the right moments and simply getting out of the way in others. For many of my clients, being in front of the camera is NOT a cozy place to be, and I do everything I can to make it feel safe and maybe even fun!? Your wedding is a great day to be unabashedly yourself.

I went to school for journalism, which is likely why my eye turns towards those photo-journalistic moments: the ones that tell a whole story in one frame. It’s fun to combine this style with images with a more editorial flair, when the moment calls for it, and really trying to find the DRAMA.  I never forget that for my clients THIS day is THEIR Big Day. I won’t make you feel like I’m just there to hit all the standard beats and squish you into some tired poses that I reuse over and over. I’m there to capture the truest, happiest you. Wedding - Full Day

Description

Short & sweet for those couples just looking for partial coverage of their day. No limit on the number of photos, just all my energy and attention day-of! Additional hours can also be added for $500/hour. I also offer a discounted engagement session for $600 (two hours, at the location of your choosing!) for couples who book their wedding with me, as it's an amazing way to get to know each other before the wedding (and generally just very fun)!

    I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed working with Penny. I had been searching for a photographer for a while before I stumbled across Penny's website and just knew I needed to have her. I wanted more than the traditional stiff wedding photos - and boy did Penny deliver. Penny captured the entire vibe of our wedding perfectly. She understood what was important to us and the vision we had. The photos are so authentic, so "us". We have some of the photos hanging in our home and they are such a conversation piece - everyone notes how amazing they are. And not only were the photos so beautiful, but Penny was so great to work with. She was calm and laid back, but knew exactly what she needed to do and was able to navigate the day with a very keen eye. I can't imagine working with any other photographer. She really made our wedding! I can't say enough great things about her!!

    We are truly blown away by how gorgeous these photos are and how well Penny captured the day!! I fought very hard to get my husband to agree to even have a photographer at our wedding since he is a very private person. He has never liked the traditional "wedding pictures" a lot of our friends have - feeling like they are too posed and not authentic. BUT when he saw the first round of photos Penny sent us from our wedding, the biggest smile appeared on his face. He already had a few handfuls of favorites and had set one as his phone background before I did!! Penny did such an excellent job working with both of our comfort levels and staying true to who we are as people and as a couple. We are just in awe of her work. I cannot thank her enough for giving us such an amazing gift that we will cherish and look back on for years to come! We had a fairly non traditional wedding (in terms of timeline) and Penny was exactly the right person for the job. She worked with us and understood how we wanted the day to unfold. I never once felt pressured into a shot or event that I didn’t want to have (i.e., getting ready pictures weren’t important to me but many photographers I spoke with pushed to budget in extra time for them - but not Penny!). She was the perfect fly on the wall, but also brought impecable vibes that everyone loved having around during the night!

    We worked with Penny for Senior Photos. We’ve worked with other photographers in the past so we thought we knew what to expect from the photos. Penny blew us away with the most beautiful photos, we were floored. She has an artistic touch that she puts into her photos. She works beautifully with shadows, contrast, movement, and especially emotions. She anticipates and catches those little moments that detail the day or event.
