My name is Kate Scott Daly, and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a Chicago native and have been a professional photographer for nearly a decade. I am obsessed with capturing the perfect moment that will make you gasp and say "Oh my god, this is amazing!" Being a queer woman, it is so important to me that you feel safe, loved, and beautiful every step of the way. If you're looking for someone you can relax with and just be yourself, you've found me! Let's face it: it can be awkward being in front of a camera. Even I feel nervous sometimes! I understand that anxiety and will do everything I can to make you feel fabulous!

From getting down on one knee to the first dance, I will help you every step of the way. I have helped couples plan surprise proposals then photographed their walk down the aisle. Having one photographer on your journey can make those moments even more special and intimate. That’s the benefit of working with me: I run my own business, so you will always talk to just me, and you will always work with just me.

Starting at 90 minutes of coverage, including photos around the courthouse/desired location (up to 10 people in attendance) and a high-resolution digital album of all edited images in a password protected gallery. $600 Please note: Travel fee applies if 30+ miles outside of Chicago, IL. Starting at 6 hours of coverage, with the option to add an additional photographer for full coverage! This package includes a custom, high-resolution digital album for you to view, download, and share any and all photos with guests. Unlimited guests! Second shooter available for an additional $75/hr.

    We worked with Kate for our wedding photography as well as an engagement photo session a number of months prior. She was an absolute delight to work with and was a real professional ray of sunshine for all of our special days. She had many insights into couples and event photography and knew how to balance her shots and attending to us as the couple. She helped keep us squarely on track the day of, and made the call on bringing in a second shooter given our wedding size (130 people). We haven’t gotten our wedding photos back just yet (since its been only a few weeks since our event), but our engagement session with her turned out lovely and we are well assured that our wedding photos will be fabulous!

    Kate photographed my now wife and I for our elopement. She also photographed our engagement the year prior. We highly recommend her. She is a brilliant photographer who makes every moment special. Her infectious positive energy really puts you at ease. Kate’s guidance on how to take photos, plus her anecdotes about Chicago, made us super comfortable and relaxed during our sessions. Her help with poses, general tips and outstanding eye for detail keep us coming back. We’ve worked with Kate on 2 occasions now, and it definitely won’t be the last time. Our pictures for our engagement and our elopement are phenomenal! I love the way Kate captured the joy and excitement in each image.     We cannot recommend Kate enough! From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely comfortable and celebrated our love with so much enthusiasm. As a queer couple, it was important for us to work with someone who not only respected but truly celebrated queer weddings, and Kate went above and beyond. She took the time to help us clarify our vision for our wedding photos, which was especially helpful since we only had 6 weeks to plan our wedding and felt a little overwhelmed by the process. She was a great guide and we immediately knew we were in good hands! Kate’s associate Ryan shot the photos on our wedding day and they captured every special moment—from the big emotional vows to the smallest, most intimate glances—with such artistry and care.
