I am so excited you're here! My name is Erin, and I'm your Washington DC area wedding photographer. I'm a sucker for stunning natural light, and have a passion for preserving precious moments and everyday beauty. Big smiles, infectious laughter, colorful flowers and the clinking of champagne glasses are just a few of my favorite things.

I've had a camera in my hand ever since I was a kid, and have accumulated 10+ years of photography experience. I've also been featured by publications such as Wedding Rule and Couture Colorado. Over the years, 100+ clients have granted me the honor of documenting their lives through my lens, and I'm grateful to also consider each client a friend (and the more, the merrier!) I pride myself in not only producing beautiful images but also an empowering, easy, empathetic and fun photography experience.

    Erin was truly a DREAM to work with — I honestly wish she could’ve been part of my bridal party! She’s so warm, welcoming, and made us feel instantly at ease. For every little hiccup that could’ve turned into a stressful saga (dirt on my dress, makeup mishaps, traffic delays), she somehow turned it into a magical moment — and those ended up being some of our favorite memories of the day. Her photos are absolutely stunning: bright, crisp, and clean while still capturing all the natural colors of the sky and environment. Beyond her artistry, Erin was amazing at wrangling family and organizing all the group shots with patience and ease. We’ll be using Erin for literally every milestone moving forward, and I cannot wait for the next occasion to work with her again. A five star rating isn't enough - Erin breaks the scale and sets the standard for what an elite photographer is. We can't stress enough how much we adore, Erin. Do not look any further, Erin is the best of the best!

    I had the honor of being Erin’s first wedding she shot when moved to the DC area! Although there are tons of photographers in the area, Erin’s work truly outshined everyone else’s portfolios and I snatched her up before she even moved to Virginia! Erin had never shot at my venue, so she made sure to come to multiple planning sessions with the venue and my wedding planner to scout locations and build my wedding timeline — with a newborn baby! She made the extra effort to support me in ways she DID NOT need to do, but just another reason why she is in a league above the rest. She made me (and my husband, who hates photos) feel so comfortable on our day while not forcing staged photos once we were tired. We even got film photos that were jaw dropping. My gallery had way more photos than I anticipated, and the turnaround time was quick for the full gallery and sneak peeks. I want to get married all over again just to relive her work!!

    Booking Erin was one of the best decisions we have ever made! We are a couple who has no idea how to pose and because of that we were a bit stressed leading up to the wedding day that our photos would look awkward and overly staged. Erin eased my mind over our pre wedding consult call that she had no worries about our lack of modeling skills - and on the day of our wedding Erin and her team directed us and made us super comfortable. Throughout the day Erin and her team blended into the sidelines of our wedding seamlessly- never intruding on moments but always around to snap a photo. They never pushed us to take more photos than we wanted, and were sure to get all the detail shots and photos of our guests! Erin also did a phenomenal job navigating several different family dynamics and was sure to make everyone feel comfortable and helped ease my stress during family portraits! Erin took my Pinterest mood board and ran with it - the result was a sneak peak that floored us and a full gallery where we loved Every. Single. Photo. On top of her amazing skills as a photographer - she’s super knowledgeable about the wedding industry, professional, communicative, and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! I highly recommend using Erin Winter Photography for any photos you need - I can’t wait for future shoots with her already!
