I'm Emily - a Pittsburgh-based wedding photographer set on capturing intimate, joyful, authentic, & emotional photos. I want you to look back on your wedding photos not just love the way they look, but I want you to remember what the moment felt like. My hope is for you to feel the way your loved one hugged you as they gave you away, to laugh as you look back at the best man giving his speech...every captured moment has a feeling. I will do my best to stop those moments in time for you to experience forever. I am witty, goofy, sarcastic, open-minded, & honest. I will be your ultimate third wheel.

Most of my couples walk away asking if they can be our "real life friends" after the wedding. My husband and I shoot together, so two people who are madly in love will be capturing YOUR love. With us as your wedding photographers, it will be a breeze. And you'll get two new "real life friends."

    Choosing Emily as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. Her work speaks for itself on her instagram page and website, but what you may not see online is how absolutely wonderful Emily is. She truly made our day so special. I felt like THAT bride on our wedding day, and Em was the ultimate hype woman. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and we had so much fun taking photos together. She had great communication with us and our worked with our wedding coordinator to create a seamless timeline. She made sure to keep our day about us and not about other people’s opinions or requests. I cannot say enough good things about Em! If you haven’t booked with her for your wedding, do it now!!!!

    Emily from Empowering You Photography was absolutely wonderful! She was so much fun and easy-going, and she worked incredibly well with all of our guests, even the slightly difficult ones. Emily has an amazing eye for photography, and our pictures turned out to be truly beautiful. We love every single shot she captured and were so impressed with the variety of different types of pictures from our wedding. There are plenty of romantic pictures, fun candid shots, creative artsy pictures, classic portraits, and stunning detail shots. She really did an amazing job making us, our guests, and our venue look our absolute best—and we were comfortable the entire time. We would highly recommend her for any wedding or important event!

    Do you want your wedding photos to look like they should be in a magazine? Do you want something that is gorgeous with a little bit of 'tude on the side? Do you feel like you're going to be super awkward in photos but yet still want these results?? Then call Emily right now! We worked with Emily for an engagement shoot, boudoir shoot and wedding photos and the experience I had with all 3 of those sessions were top notch. Emily "got our vibe" right away and her personality immediately put us at ease, and for reference,I usually run at around an 8 anxious at all times and my husband is an accountant and hates being in the spotlight. I can't stop looking at all of the photos we received from all of these shoots and my friends keep telling me how obsessed they are with our photos. On an emotional note, Emily captured all of the elements from our wedding that you spend so much time on, but don't really get a chance to truly "look at" on the day, and I SO appreciated seeing all of those images in our photo collection just as much as the literal works of art that are our wedding portraits.
