Born in Australia, lived in Scotland, I've now been in the US for 10 years, I presided over my first wedding in 2016. Being asked by two of my oldest friends changed my life forever. But I was crazy nervous. That first ceremony elicited something inside of me I never expected. I LOVED, love! I had a feeling of pride and community I'd never experienced before. More and more friends asked me to officiate their weddings over the years until I finally said "frick it, maybe this is my thing." Becoming an officiant has been one of the most rewarding things I've done, experiencing your marriage ceremony with you is now something I look forward to.

I really get to know my couples with zoom calls leading up to your ceremony, and a custom written ceremony script to perfectly suit your style. Spiritual, religious, casual, funny, super romantic, whatever you're looking for, I can make happen.

    I can't recommend Sam Does Weddings enough!! He was the perfect officiant: kind, humorous, patient and most of all understanding! From the moment we chose Sam, he was always available and had genuine care and consideration for our relationship. He took the time to truly understand us as a couple and beautifully captured the essence of our relationship in the ceremony. We wanted a short, unplugged ceremony with the perfect balance of humor and heartfelt moments, and Sam delivered exactly that. He crafted a service that actually felt like us - not generic or overly formal, but filled with love and authenticity that resonated with everyone present. Throughout the planning process, Sam was incredibly helpful and responsive. He gently guided us to ensure we were hitting all the right notes while still giving us the flexibility to make the ceremony our own. He shaped and refined our own telling of our story into something truly special. I still get giddy thinking about when my husband and I read our ceremony script over a glass of wine at dinner! Though what truly sets Sam apart is his attention to detail and thoughtful touches - he even came prepped with a sneaky shot of our favorite drink for both of us right after we said "I do" which was MUCH needed (iykyk) If you're looking for an officiant who will take the time to understand your unique story, respect your wishes, and create a ceremony that perfectly reflects who you are as a couple, Sam is your person.
