I appreciate your feedback but I feel I also need to address some things to defend my team. I spoke with all the girls after the wedding and all assured me that everyone was done on time, per the timeline. I have been a makeup artist for almost 10 years now and I also have those makeup brands in my kit — name brand does not mean it’s better. Each artist has brands that they use and prefer. Some are name brand and some are drug store. I also personally try to stick to premade lipsticks as in my experience that seems to work better for touching up or if the bride would like to purchase her own lipstick tube for the day of. Again, each artist has their own way of doing things and there isn’t a right or wrong method. I have seen the wedding photos that have been posted and I am truly baffled because everyone looks beautiful! You asked for more of a glowy finish (which Anna delivered) that will absolutely pick up more light and shine. If you hire a hair and makeup team in the future for any reason, I strongly encourage you to make sure you click with the artists during the trial run. Everyone has their own methods and style & not every artist is a fit for every bride. That is absolutely ok and something we are used to! I would also like to address the way my team was treated the day of the wedding. Every single team member was spoken to poorly and received a poor attitude from just simply showing up and trying to make such an important day special to the best of their abilities. One team member even overheard you making fun of her saying, “I look like Heather with my fake red hair”. I truly hope this was just some sort of result of nerves from your big day and this isn’t the way you treat people. I am truly sorry that my team wasn’t a good fit for you personally but we wish you all the best in your marriage and any future endeavors!”
