I can’t say enough amazing things about Alissa! I’m extremely picky when it comes to makeup, and even living in the DMV area, I chose to work with her because her work truly stood out—and she absolutely exceeded my expectations. She made me look and feel incredible on my wedding day. The makeup was flawless, photographed beautifully, and lasted all night without ever feeling heavy or overdone. Beyond being so talented, Alissa was also an absolute joy to work with—so kind, calm, and flexible throughout the entire process. She really listened to what I wanted and nailed the look perfectly. The second artist she brought for my bridal party matched her style exactly, and everyone looked stunning and cohesive. If you’re looking for someone who’s both professional and genuinely lovely (and who can make even the pickiest bride feel amazing!), I can’t recommend Alissa enough. She’s truly the best!

Johana was an absolute delight to work with for my wedding day! From the very first consultation, she was so warm, enthusiastic, and incredibly descriptive in explaining her process and expertise. I could tell immediately that she was extremely passionate about her work. On the day of the wedding, Johana’s work was nothing short of perfection. My makeup looked even better than it did at the trial (which I didn't think was possible lol). She has an incredible eye for detail and truly made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself. Johana is also such a vibe, so funny and sweet and just so real- I love her. My makeup held up perfectly through all of the tears and sweat, I didn't even use my touch-up kit. I recommend Alissa Joy Makeup Artistry (Johana specifically) to any bride without hesitation!

There aren’t enough stars to rate how amazing working with Alissa and her team was. Besides being the best in the game, Alissa’s professionalism, communication and personality make her stand out far above the rest. We planned our wedding almost 2 years out and as soon as I booked her, I felt instantly better about wedding stress. Between fitting 9 ladies in her chair in one morning, the top tier products she uses, a touch up kit alllll of the vibes she brings, we couldn’t have asked for a better MUA.
