Forsythia is a full-service floral design company operated by Longhorn owner Amy Forsyth who has lived in Austin for 25 years and founded Forsythia in 2019. Amy strives to provide her couples with exceptional service as they prepare for their dream day. Her passion extends beyond her floral creations into her business practices as she works diligently to ensure that every detail is to her clients’ satisfaction. Amy is the type of person who has never met a stranger and immediately puts others at ease with her calm, sunny and fun disposition.

I have always had a love of people, helping others and creating beautiful things. Before I began Forsythia, I worked at NSPL for 4 years, which allowed me to refine my skill set for customer service, quick-thinking and dedication. For those 4 years, I guided people on the worst day of their lives. As a florist, I do not take the privilege of celebrating with clients on the best days of their lives lightly. It is an honor to be a part of such joy after figuratively holding the hands of so many who will never be able to experience such happiness. What an immense pleasure it has been to flower over 250 weddings! I can't wait to hear from you!

Forsythia Florals was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. Amy, the owner, was incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. She quickly answered any questions we had and updated our proposal multiple times as we made changes. The floral arrangements they created were truly stunning - exactly what we had envisioned and more. Amy's creativity shone through, and we were blown away by how beautiful the flowers looked on our wedding day. I wish I had more time to admire all the intricate details! I highly recommend Forsythia Florals to any couple looking for a florist that will go above and beyond to make your special day perfect.

Amy was an absolute delight to work with. She came highly recommended from a friend, and I can see why. Her proposal was very straight forward and included all pricing. For her work, her pricing was incredibly affordable compared to other florists. She was very open to collaboration, always helped give floral advice when needed, and was very flexible with changes. I had a bridesmaid drop out two weeks before, and she was able to easily edit our plan to reflect this. Our tablescapes were stunning. My favorite detail about my wedding were these fresh oranges on our head table, which Amy totally improvised on and added to my surprise. I absolutely loved them, and everyone could not stop talking about how unique it was. I loved working with Amy and highly recommend her!

Amy was an absolute delight to work with. She showed no hesitation with our limited budget (in fact, she proposed a much more affordable quote than the other florist we had considered) and created the most stunning flower arrangements that perfectly aligned with our inspiration photos. I couldn't get enough of my beautiful bouquet! Her attention to detail is also unmatched - I was shocked to find a few flowers sitting on top of the water fountain outside the bridal suite, which hardly anyone would see and was also not part of our quote. She is committed to excellent service, too; as we realized the logistical difficulties of transporting our homemade chuppah to and from the venue, she graciously agreed to store it at her house before and after the wedding for an extremely nominal fee. On top of all of that, she was so easy to communicate with, flexible, understanding, and unwaveringly positive - all traits that are so important, but sometimes missing, in a vendor! My only wish is that I had more time to take in all of the design details she and her team created - the chuppah flowers, the aisle markers repurposed as centerpieces, the bud vases on the cocktail tables. But, we have photos incoming to fill in the gaps! We love Amy and can't recommend her highly enough!

At the end of the day, a wedding is about two people coming together as one in unity, commitment, and trust- and in that special moment, love wins.

Absolutely! Transportation of the flowers and set up at the venue is included in our delivery and set-up fee. For an additional cost, we can return to the venue upon the event ending to clean up and remove all flower-related items and rentals.

When choosing a vendor for a wedding or special event, I believe these 3 questions help with the selection process... 1) Do they offer the quality, product, and look that you have been dreaming of? 2) Are they able to work within your set budget and vision while still providing excellent service? 3) Do you have a warm rapport with the vendor? Are they trustworthy, reliable, and friendly?

We have worked with brides from eighteen months out all the way to 1 weeks notice! However, generally speaking, 6-12 months is a good rule of thumb is to find and book your desired florist.

Should none of the flowers be claimed after the event ends, it is my pleasure to take the arrangements to a local nursing home the following morning and bless the residents with a little beauty. It is truly an honor to give back in this small way because the residents are so appreciative and, this way, the flowers keep on giving!

Our average costs range between $4,500 - $6,500 per event. We book our clients on a case-by-case basis depending on variety of factors such as venue location, season and staffing - to name just a few and our minimum spend changes depending on the time of year you are getting married. We appreciate your understanding that we most often are unable to sign with any clients below $4,000 due to the costs of production, labor and shipping involved in a full service wedding. For 2024 bookings, we have a $5,000 minimum spend.

You bet! We have a personal collection of vases available and ready to rent to you at a discounted fee. Sometimes as low as $5-$10 per vase!
