Exceptional Entertainment
Founded in 2019 by our owner, Joe Nagan, Exceptional Entertainment is quickly becoming a well-known name in the entertainment industry. Joe has a strong passion for music having attended UW-Oshkosh for Music Engineering and traveling the world performing since a young age with various chorale groups. Booking Exceptional Entertainment is much more than just hiring a person to play some music. Our fantastic DJs are there to help you every step of the way. We provide so much more than just music and lighting, we provide an experience for you and your guests to enjoy and remember.
I have personally been a professional DJ for 14 years and have helped hundreds of couples bring their wedding vision to life. I believe in quality equipment, but more importantly knowledgable DJs that know how to properly use it. Your entertainment can make or break your wedding which is why I believe in constant education to deliver the best possible service to all our clients. JOE WAS INCREDIBLE
Joe was one of the best parts of our entire wedding experience. We were looking for a local DJ and who we found exceeded all of our expectations. Joe planned meetings leading up to the day of, provided checklists, and was so easy to plan with. At the venue, Joe hooked up sound in multiple locations and transitioned from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to dancing with ease. It was legit seamless. He anticipated any and all complications and was prepared with solutions to it all, spoiler alert, there were NO complications. He did a phenomenal job reading of the dance floor and kept everyone out ALL NIGHT LONG. We cannot recommend Joe enough!!

We hired Joe and team for our event, and they completely exceeded expectations. The music selection was spot-on, reading the crowd perfectly and keeping the dance floor full all night. Everyone was having fun from teens to grandparents. They were professional, punctual, and super easy to work with during planning. If you want your event to have the perfect soundtrack and unforgettable energy, Joe helped me with any questions I had and had a lot of good ideas. I highly recommend.

Having Joe Nagan as our wedding DJ was nothing short of amazing. As huge music people, this was one of the most important parts of our day and he easily 10/10 nailed it. From day one, Joe was so easy to work with. He responded quickly, hopped on calls with us, and really got the vibe we were going for. He asked the best questions, gave us ideas we didn't even think of, and made sure every detail was covered. He also provided timeline recommendations to ensure a smooth flow between events of the night and was more than happy to provide recs that didn't always pertain to DJing (like helping us find the perfect afterparty spot since we weren't familiar with the area). Come our wedding day, Joe exceeded all expectations and multiple guests shared that it was the best wedding DJ they've experienced. The timing, the energy, the way he kept everyone on the floor for every second of our reception. It felt like he truly got us and knew exactly what to play next. You could feel the room's energy build with every song and it was simply SO much fun. Every song felt perfectly placed, every transition hit, and the flow of the night was seamless. He also had such a clean & modern setup that can easily compliment and look good with any wedding day aesthetic. We've been to enough weddings to know that the DJ's energy can make or break the night as guests totally feed off it. Joe looked like he was having the time of his life at ours. He never once let the energy dip and definitely didn't let our guests down. You could tell that he genuinely loves what he does and we couldn't be happier with having Joe & the Exceptional Entertainment team as our DJ. If you want your guests to dance until the lights come on, this is your guy !!
