Q: How early do you come to set up?

2.5 to 3 hours before pre-ceremony start time

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

If you already have finished playlists for the ceremony, cocktail, and dinner you can send them to me for me to use. Other options are: 1). We make each playlist collaborative and we work together to both add songs to the playlists. 2). You tell me the vibe you want, artists, and genres and I do the work for you in creating the playlists.

Q: Do you take music requests?

I do but with respect to you, the couple's, music preferences that we will have discussed in our planning meeting. Also, even if it's a request that matches your music preferences, I'm mindful of playing it when the time is right. This is to ensure the energy on the dance floor flows smoothly throughout the night.

Yes. I have a $1 Million General Liability Insurance

Q: What is your style?

As far as music preferences, my 3 favorite genres to spin are hip-hop, funk/disco, and house. However, I have an eclectic taste in music and love other genres such as R&B, pop, afro, latin, and yacht rock. When it comes to MCing- I'm very personable and speak on the mic with the intention of making people feel comfortable and directing the energy of the event. I accomplish this simply by making myself noticeable when I speak (step out to the dance floor if the opportunity presents itslef), speaking clearly into the mic, and repeating my directives to drive home the message.

Tyler DJ'd our wedding last month and he truly exceeded our expectations! We had a very specific request to please not stray away from our playlists and he was so kind to follow our request and make it work throughout the night! Our guests loved him and he really knew how to read the room. We had other vendors who did not fully follow our requests but Tyler followed through with each one from the beginning of the ceremony to the last dance of the night. We couldn't recommend him more. He really fulfilled our wishes and made it such a fun day for us! Thank you, Tyler!

You can't go wrong with DJ Tyler -- he's simply the best. My husband and I are high school sweethearts who love 2010s pop and Tyler knew exactly what to play to keep the party going. He was also so attentive pre-wedding to understand our vision for the event flow, and nailed every cue, from our ceremony music to announcing a surprise ping pong match. The best testimonial I can give is the story of how my husband and I found DJ Tyler and hired him for our wedding. A few months after getting engaged (and prior to setting a date or booking a venue) my then-fiancé and I attended a party where Tyler was DJing. We intended to leave the party after an hour, but ended up staying for three hours because Tyler was playing banger after banger. I approached him and asked if he performed at weddings, and I was happy to learn that weddings are DJ Tyler’s full time gig. About a year later, Tyler was the first wedding vendor we hired, as having the right DJ was one of our top priorities. Throughout the planning process, Tyler was communicative, responsive, and extremely professional. He gave helpful feedback on our proposed reception timeline and provided suggestions for building a playlist that would ensure a packed dance floor the entire night. Regarding our music, my husband and I gave Tyler the thematic suggestion “50% soul train and funk/50% early 2000s hip hop and pop bangers” (shoutout to millennial couples), and he understood the assignment more perfectly than I could have asked for. Our wedding was this past Saturday 6/28/25, and our guests cannot stop raving about how much they enjoyed the immaculate dance floor vibes that Tyler curated. Friends and family members commented that Tyler was noticeably reading the room to gauge which music the guests were enjoying most and adjusting the playlist accordingly. In addition to being a fantastic DJ and MC, he is also a super nice person who is awesome and pleasant to work with.
