Alternative Wedding DJs
Stereotypical wedding DJs spoil the fun. They play the same songs (boring). There are gaps between songs (awkward). And they talk on the mic too much (obnoxious). We’re the alternative. We beat match & blend music (non-stop dancing) We use the mic appropriately (vibe isn’t ruined) We personalize the playlist with your input (you’ll love the music) If you say things like, “We’re having a non-traditional wedding!,” or “We need to blend our multicultural families,” or “I’ll die if my domineering future mother-in-law demands that the DJ to play her QVC album collection,” ... then we're for you!
Our secret: We’re not “wedding DJs.” We’re nightclub DJs that happen to play at weddings. We’re a team of real-life DJs and culture makers from Omaha & Lincoln, Nebraska. Collectively we’ve won Omaha Entertainment Awards “Best DJ” category multiple times, produced festivals & operated nightclubs (like House of Loom) & been tested on dance floors from Belgium to Benson.

Alternative DJs
Alternative Wedding DJs was an amazing choice for our wedding entertainment. They were incredibly responsive and easy to work with throughout the planning process. Their communication was always timely and they were eager to meet with us to ensure everything was coordinated perfectly. On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time and were enthusiastic and professional the entire night. The quality of their work was fantastic - they kept the dance floor packed and our guests raving about the music all night long. Our DJ Brent was awesome! We gave him a pretty small playlist to work with, but he totally understood the vibe we were going for and filled in the rest perfectly. The music throughout the night was exactly what we wanted—fun, upbeat, and never cheesy. He did a great job keeping everything on track and flowing smoothly, from the announcements to the transitions between events. The sound setup was great, and he really brought the energy to the dance floor—we had around 100 guests and it still felt like a full-on party. Such a fun night and we’re so glad we had him as part of it!

Brent was the DJ for a wedding I was the photographer for this year and he ROCKED it. He was so kind, professional, and ready to bring the party as soon as he arrived. I could tell he cared about making the best environment for the couple and their guests and could read the room to make for a fun dance party. So glad I got to work alongside him, would love to be able to do it again!
