In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Our iconic white gothic arched roof dairy barn, built in 1947 by the Vandenberg family, sits on five acres of pastures and oak trees, overlooking a valley with stunning sunsets. The historic John P. Furber Farm, with its Italianate home, has a rich history dating back to the town's founding. Transformed into a gorgeous wedding venue in 2010, this unique space retains its historic charm while offering modern amenities.

The ballroom features large windows on the north and west sides which give a spectacular view of the Millennium Garden, and natural area of the Plymouth Creek Park Reserve. A sound system is included so guests can hear your vows, background music or musicians. Medina Entertainment Center opened its doors in 1956 with the hope to bring music, dancing and food to the west suburbs. We are a family-owned & operated business, which includes Robert's Restaurant & Bar, 12 bowling lanes, a game room, a concert space, three private event spaces and The Medina Inn. As a big part of our community, Medina is well-known for our delicious food and friendly customer service. All three of our private event spaces as well as other areas of the building have all been remodeled in the last 10 years. Our Images room seats up to 130 guests, our Event Rooms seat up to 200 guests, and our Grand Ballroom is a wonderful space for 180 guests or more, seating up to 600 guests. We have a few indoor ceremony options in these spaces for all guest counts and rooms, depending on your style and preference.
