My name is Mary Ostrander. I have been doing event photography since 2001. Shortly after 9/11, I decided to serve my community as a law enforcement officer. I never stopped my photography, but it was not my primary focus. I recently decided to refocus my attention on photography and provide affordable services for customers in Northeast Kansas.

Circle S Ranch is a family-owned and operated business tucked away in the beautiful rolling hills 20 minutes north of Lawrence, Kansas. You have the choice of two ceremony locations: our wedding garden surrounded by oak trees, or our restored barn chapel. The Party Barn reception space holds 200+ wedding guests that can dance the night away. Our 12-room Inn is perfect for couples who would like to make their wedding a weekend experience for their wedding party and families. The Great Room is ideal for smaller wedding of 60 people or less. Everything from my bakery is made from scratch and made to order. I am a full butter cream bakery so not only will your cake be beautiful but it will taste delicious too. My main goal is to create a cake of dreams while giving your guest a great tasting dessert too.

A little about me.. I am guilty of constantly working because I LOVE MY JOB!! I throw my ALL into my work and work super hard to create images that I myself would want to hang on my walls! I have a soft spot for bold and contrasty images. You could describe my style as rustic, boho, wild, fun, country and controlled chaos (with the littles - let’s face it, we want to capture kids AS KIDS and it is OK! Honestly, THE BEST!) - and my absolute FAVORITE place to be is out in the Kansas fields - especially at sunset!

A contemporary barn style venue, characterized by a pristine white exterior stretching 60’ x 120’, crowned with a striking black roof. The venue features a large covered front patio and an expansive back patio, leading to a picturesque outdoor wedding area complete with a gazebo, custom made wooden benches & turf. Designed to accommodate up to 299 guests, this venue boasts an interior of white shiplap walls with stone accents & textures, cedar columns, elegant chandeliers, and a well-lit bar with beverage cooler and freezer for ice. A functional kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, double oven, and a spacious island facilitates food and floral preparations. Additionally, it includes accessible restrooms, a groom’s room with a TV, and a gorgeous bridal suite loft. This loft offers natural lighting, three makeup stations with lighted mirrors and salon style chairs, a lounge area, private restroom, and balcony access for a grand view of the celebrations below.
