She took every single Pinterest photo I had sent… from flowers to decor to that dream of twinkle lights and drapery, and brought it to life in the most special way. “10/10 would recommend to anyone who needs a brilliant, hardworking, passionate, and creative florist. We met with Sarah throughout our planning process and she worked with us and our planner to understand and bring our vision to life. She clearly understood the assignment. Every detail was perfect. Everything she created was unique and matched exactly what we were looking for. By growing her own flowers, she has an intimate understanding of what will work best. She created an incredible arch out of branches and flowers, aisle meadows that got repurposed to center pieces, and a variety of centerpieces for our 21 tables. Each table had its own, unique look - some with raised meadows, some with a mix of candles and bud vases, and some with a vase of flowers and candles. Our head table had 28 people, and she made each place setting feel special. She works hard to be as sustainable as possible, sourcing and thrifting vessels from local shops and vendors, and drying and reusing flowers when possible. Everything she created was beautiful, including a big fall bouquet. She also created a totally custom ceiling installation that hung over the dance floor - an absolute show stopper that all of our guests loved, and that the venue thinks will inspire some of their future events. We did buy a few more flowers from the grocery to add more peach once the flowers arrived. We made and medium sized bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 corsages, and 7 bouts. (With lots of flowers left over). My bridesmaids and I did the arranging the morning before the wedding; it was fun, and a great start to the weekend. “Tanya was great!! We first learned about her from a party our wedding planner threw and I knew right after that, Tanya would be the perfect person to help bring some color and pop into our wedding. The initial call with Tanya was educational. She is so knowledgeable about the flowers she works with and allowed me to look up the florals she was talking about to see if it would be something I would like. At the end of the call, she let me know that she would put a vision board together to send over for me. She let me know that might take a couple of days; it didn't. Within 24 hours she had it to me to review. That type of customer service is hard to find, but it is so appreciated! Throughout the planning process, Tanya kept in contact to see if I wanted to stick with the original plan, or change certain elements. There were times I had questions and Tanya answered them with lightening speed. As always, she was professional, knowledgeable, and educational. For our wedding, we went with bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, wine barrel arraignments, and flowers for bud vases. Tanya was not able to make it to our event, but she had her mother take her place and communicated this with us and also our wedding planner so we knew exactly what would be happening. Every arraignment was stunning and our flowers stayed alive for a week after our event so that we could continue to enjoy them. Overall, Tanya is fantastic and the florals she using are stunning. We are so happy we decided to go with her for our big day!”

Hi! I'm Alex, owner and lead designer of Wilder, a wedding florist and floral design studio serving NYC, Syracuse, Rochester, The Finger Lakes, and beyond! Wilder has created florals for galas, fashion shows, and weddings at some of the best NYC venues for over a decade, and more recently, at boutique venues in Central New York. We approach our beautifully wild wedding flowers with passion, cohesiveness, and an environmental ethic, taking inspiration from the landscape around us. Most of my design blends more obvious blooms with forage from my land upstate, so that your wedding feels seasonal, natural, original and (elegantly ) wild.
