The Parker Mill is the absolute perfect venue! The views are spectacular and the services offered made our day so much easier to plan. At every step in our planning process Alexis and Brock were so kind and accommodating with addressing any concerns or questions we had. Everything about our day was beautiful, everything ran smoothly and the spaces the Parker Mill provided were perfect for our needs. If you are considering the Parker mill at all go on a tour! The moment we stepped foot on property we knew this wedding venue would be perfect, and we hope you do too! We cannot recommend the Parker Mill more!

My husband and I hosted our wedding at The Willow and Whisk back in June. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or for better hosts! The property is absolutely beautiful and Andrea and her family were amazing to work with. They were the most gracious hosts and super accommodating for our weekend. We rented the venue from Friday-Sunday for us and the wedding party, which was so convenient for our friends coming from out of state. Andrea also helped me coordinate with all of my vendors, which made the weekend go much smoother than if I had done it all myself. Every single one of our guests had nothing but great things to say about the venue and the experience. We hope to come back and stay for an anniversary trip some day! If you're looking for a secluded yet beautiful venue to host a small wedding or get together, I highly highly recommend The Willow and Whisk.

This venue was truly a wonderful experience! It is nestled into the smoky mountains away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You truly get an experience of getting away! The cabin was wonderful, and the land is truly beautiful. We had our wedding there in mid November. The venue itself was great too! It all being together was very helpful. We had 43 people, and it fit the venue perfectly. The vendor was really wonderful to work with. They were very kind, and incredibly helpful. We really loved working with them. If you’re interested in this venue, definitely reach out to them. We highly recommend this venue and cabin. We will always cherish some memories made here.

I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience at the Magnolia. From the start, Macey was so helpful and answered all of my questions quickly! The day of the event, the staff was incredible. They were available for anything we needed. The venue itself is incredible- the views are absolutely gorgeous and people could not stop talking about how incredible the space was. The weather was perfect in mid-September and they were able to open the sliding doors of the reception space which added another layer of gorgeous views and fresh air that people are still talking about a month later! The space is intimate, serene, and absolutely breathtaking. We LOVED the Magnolia and I would recommend it to anyone in a heart beat! I cannot say enough amazing things about it!!!

We got married at Stony Woods Estate during the weekend of Hurricane Helene. This storm devastated WNC in ways that are hard to put into words. Entire roadways, bridges, and towns were washed away, leaving communities isolated and in crisis. We chose Stony Woods because our families and friends were going to be traveling from out of state. Stony Woods offered the perfect setup. In addition to the main villa, the property has several beautiful/modern cabins within walking distance. As the storm wreaked havoc on the surrounding areas, 24 of us, including young children and elderly relatives—hunkered down at SW for 3.5 days, waiting for a safe route out. Despite the devastation around us, we were incredibly fortunate. Stony Woods sits high enough up the mountain that the venue remained mostly untouched, aside from a few downed trees and the loss of power/running water. The property became a sanctuary offering stunning mountain views once the storm passed. These moments of natural beauty provided comfort and healing as we navigated the chaos. When the situation turned dire, Kim and Steve stepped up in ways we never expected. They brought us vital supplies—diapers, baby wipes, food, water, and more. Their kindness and support were a lifeline while there. We had planned for a wedding with 75 guests, complete with vendors but of course, none of that happened. We didn’t have our full wedding party. Even our officiant, had no way of reaching us/vice versa. We didn’t know if she was safe, let alone if she’d be able to officiate our ceremony. Amid the uncertainty, Kim asked if we still wanted to get married and if there was anything she could do to help. With everything going on, the thought of still having our wedding seemed almost impossible. I replied, “We don’t even have an officiant.” To my surprise, Kim told me that Steve is ordained. She reassured me that if we wanted to move forward with the ceremony, Steve would happily step in. The morning of our wedding, everyone on the property—including Kim and Steve —came together to make it happen. My stepmother did the decor so we had them with us, My SIL did my hair in an RV outlet, and my MOH did my makeup with whatever we had. We used a BT speaker to play whatever songs we already downloaded on our phones. I don’t even remember what song played as I walked down the aisle, but it was perfect. For our reception meal Kim and Steve made a giant batch of spaghetti over their fire pit since we still had no power/were running low on food. Somehow, they also managed to bake a wedding cake—SO THOUGHTFUL. Despite the lack of vendors, guests, and traditional wedding elements, our people came together to create such a special day – a true testament to the power of community and love. The cherry on top? Our photographer, Ashley Sieg, miraculously made it to us with no cell service and no idea if we were still having a wedding. She captured stunning photos that we will cherish forever. Kim and Steve were more than just venue hosts; they were our lifeline during a harrowing weekend. Their generosity, resourcefulness, and genuine care made all the difference. From bringing supplies to officiating our ceremony, we couldn’t have done it without them. Stony Woods Estate is a breathtaking property. But beyond its beauty, this place holds a special magic. If you’re on the fence about booking your wedding here, do it. You won’t regret it! Don’t be surprised if Kim and Steve become a lasting part of your story.

My husband and I got married at Timber Hall at the end of June and had a wonderful experience! Cheri was communicative, helpful, and very reassuring when it comes to the planning process. She was incredible helpful by answering questions and giving suggestions for vendors along the way! The venue is absolutely beautiful and has a dreamy outdoor space for the couple's first dance and parent dances. The ceremony was so memorable with the long walk-way and the unique ceremony site, our guests kept complimenting it all night! Our pictures turned out amazing with the mountain views in the background! We loved everything about Timber Hall and couldn't have asked for a better venue! Our Reunion-Style Wedding at Hawkesdene I’ve struggled to put this experience into words because so much can’t be fully captured. My husband and I feel incredibly grateful to have celebrated with family and friends at this stunning estate and charming town—truly the most fun experience! Reunion-Style Wedding for 100 Guests (No wedding package, no weekend venue rental, and we were legally married beforehand to enjoy the day stress-free.) Weekday Wedding: Sunday–Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). Full Estate Rental: We covered the entire property, including optional cabins, but skipped the wedding package so we could fully host guests. DIY Ceremony: No designated aisle or seating (just a few chairs for family). It turned out beautifully! No Decor Needed: The venue is breathtaking, so we skipped decorations. Floral Rentals: Used Something Borrowed Blooms—absolutely perfect. Incredible Food: Every meal was amazing (menu below). Cost: Clearly listed on their website—no hidden fees. Tip: Get event insurance when hosting at an estate. Unexpected things can happen, and it’s peace of mind for you and the next couple. We always envisioned a wedding weekend instead of a single day. Since we live far from family, we wanted quality time together. After extensive research (and almost giving up), we found Hawkesdene on VRBO while considering an elopement in the Georgia mountains. It was the only venue that allowed us to host guests while staying within budget. Itinerary Sunday Whitewater Rafting (10 AM): Nantahala with Carolina Outfitters (highly recommend!) Breweries (1:30–3:30 PM): Hoppy Trout (great private room) & Snowbird Mountains Brewery (provided kegs). Check-in (4 PM) Dinner (7 PM) Champagne Toast at the Peak (7:45 PM): ½-mile hike—steep but worth it! S’mores & Activities (9 PM) Monday Breakfast (8:30–10 AM) Waterfall Hike (10:30–11:30 AM): 1-mile in, 1 out—rain made it tricky but worth it! Lunch (12:30–2 PM) Lawn Games (1:30–3 PM) Ceremony (5:15 PM, DIY setup) Cocktail Hour (5:30 PM) Reception & Dinner (6:45 PM) Evening Activities (8:30 PM) Tuesday Breakfast (8:30 AM) Check-out (by 11 AM) The Food The food was phenomenal—to flawlessly cook this much fish deserves an award. We skipped a cake and were thrilled with the chef’s dessert selections. Menu: Salads: Greek & Balsamic Entrees: Salmon (Night 1), Honey-Balsamic Chicken (Night 1), Trout (Night 2), Steak (Night 2) Sides: Squash, Green Beans, Sweet Potato, Mac & Cheese, Asparagus, Broccolini Logistics & Final Thoughts Jami & Rob were fantastic. If you choose Reunion Style (no wedding package), be prepared to handle logistics yourself. It worked perfectly for us but isn’t for everyone. Their website outlines everything—read it carefully! Alcohol: We used Appalachian Beverage in Ellijay (they have everything). We provided a small amount of liquor, but most guests got their own—so refer back to my event insurance note! Soak it all in. This place is truly magical—like the Disney of wedding venues. We wouldn’t change a thing, and our guests still rave about it. Highly recommend for a unique and unforgettable wedding weekend!

Ancient Lore was the perfect venue for our wedding! Mallory was our event manager, and she was so kind and understanding with us! I am definitely a bride who knows what she wants (down to the smallest detail), so her understanding in executing our vision meant so much! She was willing to make exceptions and work with her team just to make sure our day was exactly what I wanted, which was greatly appreciated. I mentioned wanting to have a champagne wall for our seating chart, so they actually made one that they now rent out for other events and weddings because of my idea! We had our ceremony at the woodland terrace, cocktail hour at the axe and archery ranges (highly recommend, it’s so fun for your guests), and reception at the elf nest. Everything looked beautiful, and I could tell our guests had so much fun. The food and drinks were also incredible! All our guests raved about the carrots and meatloaf at dinner, and everyone loved the stuffed mushrooms at cocktail hour. We also had the rosemary chicken, mashed potatoes, and strawberry feta salad at dinner, which were soooo delicious, and the cream cheese stuffed jalapeños and Tennessee bruschetta at cocktail hour, which was just as tasty! I was initially worried about booking a venue that provides catering before tasting any of the food, as I’ve been to many weddings that have had horrible food, but ancient lore really delivered! The staff was also sooooo friendly and sweet to us! The only issue we ran into was some miscommunication when we did our initial virtual tour. Our tour guide had told us all of the reception sites had spaces for dancing and music, however after we booked and signed the contract, we were told otherwise. As mentioned before though, Mallory was willing to pull some strings to make sure we had exactly what we wanted on our day!
