We moved from Peachtree City, Georgia to this breathtaking countryside estate in Newnan, Georgia in July 2016 with the sole intent of opening a wedding and special events venue. When we found this little gem, we realized we wanted to share the beautiful property with others and help our guests create unforgettable memories for their friends and family at Murphy Lane. Our guests become much more than clients, they become lifelong friends and together we seek to create a wondrous experience for each and every guest at Murphy Lane. About us Macedonia Hills is a boutique venue for weddings and other events located near Newnan, GA. Surrounded by nature's beauty and entirely removed from the outside world, the property sits on 16 acres of hills and fields bordered by old-growth and evergreen forest. ​ Unlike a majority of venues of this kind, Macedonia Hills is family owned and operated. We take care of the property on a daily basis and are continually improving the venue and landscaping. This also means that you will be dealing with us directly, as we strive to make your experience as special and carefree as possible. This magnificent Georgian-style home was built in 1914 for Cornelius Vanderbilt Truitt, a financier, and businessperson, by P. Thornton Marye, whose most famous project was the design of The Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. In 1937, the house was purchased by Nasour and Mary Mansour, the first generation of dry goods merchants known regionally for their Mansour’s Department Stores, first in LaGrange and then in other major cities in the region. The Foxglove is a wedding venue located in the historic downtown of Marietta, Georgia. This industrial-chic banquet hall was repurposed and refurbished in 2019 to facilitate sophisticated celebrations. The original steel-framed window and exposed brickwork were preserved and blends perfectly with the elegant interiors. Owners Kacey and Hillery Cecil developed this space out of love and passion for antiquated buildings. Their mission was to retain the building’s authentic charm while enhancing it with modern and refined accents. Complete with a romantic courtyard outside, this is a suitable venue for weddings and memorable occasions.
