How far in advance do we need to book a wedding?

We TYPICALLY are booking dates at about a year in advance but recommend always checking for availability.

Question 2

Are there any additional fees for travel?

Accepted Answer

We don't charge additional travel fees within a 90-mile radius of Farmington, NM. Most of the weddings we do these days are destination weddings in locations that require us to travel. There may or not be an additional fee, depending on the package, location, and scenario. In other words, if it's in our best interest for portfolio purposes to offset travel costs, we're more than willing to do it.

Can we customize a wedding collection to fit our coverage needs and budget?

Accepted Answer

Of course! We are not a one size fits all company, and although we have tried to put together what we feel are perfect varying levels of coverage, we quite often will custom tweak a package to fit specific coverage or budget needs. The best first step is to let us know exactly what you want!

When is the best time to book your videographer?

Accepted Answer

We are booking weddings at least a year in advance and recommend that if you're getting married anytime between June and October, to consider booking sooner than later. We are close to being completely booked for the following year by November - December.

Question 5

What's the best time to have a wedding?

Accepted Answer

The best time to have your ceremony depends entirely on much time you will need for photos before dinner. If you are not planning on having a first look, you will need at a minimum of 1 hour for all family, wedding party, and formal photos after the ceremony. In that scenario we are racing to get everything covered before you check in to the reception.

Do you fly a drone at every wedding?

We try to! Drone footage is the coolest. It really will depend on time opportunity and weather, but we generally always try to get some drone footage. If you are willing or want us to fly a drone during your ceremony…we’re all about it!

Question 7

How much do you charge to book a date for a wedding?

Accepted Answer

A $600 deposit is required to reserve a date on our calendar. Deposits are non-refundable. If for any reason you need to cancel your wedding, or reschedule for a date that we do not have available, if we have done your engagement photos as part of your package, you will be charged for that session on top of the deposit.

Do you ever work with a second shooters or is it always just you and Katie at each event?

We can hire as many shooters as you'd like for your Wedding but the reality is we've got it covered. Over a decade or testing second shooters and we've come to the conclusion that we do a better job covering your event together than we do with more hands in the cookie jar. If you've booked with a package that included 2 people, it is always just Katie and I.

Question 9

Can I put a deposit down to reserve a date even though I don't know exactly what package we want?

Accepted Answer

Yes! This happens more than you would think. Weddings are an expensive investment and sometimes it takes time to figure out exactly what your budget is for photography & video. If you know you want to work with us, it is smart to book your date and then decide soon after exactly what type of coverage your want.

Question 10

How long is your turn around for delivering videos?

Accepted Answer

Highlight videos take about 6-12 weeks, this depends on the time of year your event was held. Later in the year obviously takes longer because we're editing a ton of events before yours. All video deliverables can take 6-10 months again based on the volume of Weddings we've taken on in that given season and the time of year we shot yours.
