Big wedding regret

Unfortunately I would not recommend hiring Ben/Better Half for your wedding videography if you are looking for someone who is professional and dependable to capture your day. We hired Better Half for the full service package (which was supposed to include the entire ceremony and all speeches) and were provided a video that was missing the entire father-of-the bride speech and part of another speech. Ben was not upfront about the missing footage and after several back-and-forth emails he finally admitted to what he called a “technical hiccup” with their equipment. He took no accountability and refused to provide a partial refund, citing that the contract mentions that “unforeseen technical issues” are not a basis for a refund (which is obviously ridiculous and upsetting). There was a second videographer present and it is unclear why there was not a backup system in place, but we will never know since Ben was not forthcoming with details. In addition, the full-length video we were provided has several distracting audio noises throughout it including during the ceremony. Overall, we were given a very poor quality product for the price we paid and I am deeply upset that I cannot rewatch my father’s speech for years to come. I would recommend avoiding this company – it is not worth the risk or cost.
