About this venue

The Watson homestead was established in Hiram, Maine in 1785 and is the oldest house in Oxford County. Located on 28 acres of rolling fields, soaring pine forests, stone walls and 1250 ft of Saco River frontage the house has been lovingly restored with an eye to historical integrity . Come see our Barn and ceremony space. We also offer overnight accommodation in the farm house for up to eight guests.

Stay in Hiram’s oldest intact home Friday and Saturday night with up to twelve guests. Four rooms can accommodate two guests each and the carriage house makes a great after party gathering complete with a pool table.

Description

This does not include overnight accommodation. You can use the property from 12 pm-8 pm on Friday, and Saturday 10 am-10 pm. This option includes ground floor use of the house and carriage house to get ready the day of. For weekend rental of the property without overnight stay the cost is 5,400. Have a special date that doesn't fall on a weekend? no problem! We offer discounted weekday rentals of the property for 4,000

    We had an amazing experience at The Watson Homestead and highly recommend it! Stephanie, the coordinator, was fantastic—responsive, accommodating, and ensured our vision came to life. Kim and Todd, the owners, were also wonderful, making everything feel seamless. The venue itself was stunning, from the spacious getting-ready house to the beautiful outdoor ceremony space and cozy barn. The barn’s lighting created the perfect atmosphere, and the layout comfortably fit our 75 guests. Our guests loved the venue, and it was the perfect setting for our day! Highly recommend for a charming barn venue.

    I attended a wedding at the Watson Homestead in November. I had so much fun and it was so beautiful I told my boyfriend if we were ever to get married I would want it to be there. I loved the outside ceremony with the wedding arbor and flowers and then dinner and dancing in the barn with the beautiful lights and elegant decorations but still a relaxed feel. Lots of easy parking for guests also.
