About this venue
The Rose is a NEW event venue that opened January 2019. We are an all-inclusive venue that comes equipped with professional event coordination, tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glassware, decorative lighting, and table decor. We also provide full in-house catering, beverage service, and staffing and will connect you with the very best local vendors. The Rose also has a concert-quality sound system, up to 4 large-screen televisions, a theater-quality video projection system, and an elevated stage enabling comprehensive entertainment options.

The Lobby
This attractive two-story masonry building was fully restored to its bygone-era art deco glamour during the recent facility renovation.
Visitors enter the building under the classic grand marquee and enter a space with soaring ceilings, bold steel trusses, elegant lighting and original brick walls define the new venue and Lobby space. In addition, The Lobby has a fully stocked bar, classic parlor games, and two big-screen televisions. This space is quite unique as it allows for a lounge, a bar, and dining space for tables to be set up and is ideal for moderate social dining functions (60 ppl).

Nearly 1000 square feet of steam-punk elegance.
With nearly 1000 square feet of steam-punk elegance, the State Room, located on the mezzanine level of The Rose event venue has a private bar, private bathrooms, an elegant fireplace, and two large TV screens. Guests can access the State Room through a dedicated entrance on Washington Ave. or through the main venue space. The room is set-up with lounge and bar seating (50 ppl) and works well for cocktail-style/heavy hors d'oeuvres style events.

Buffalo Room
The Buffalo Room is the site of the oldest bar in Colorado.
The recent remodel fully restored the classic masonry façade, re-exposed and highlighted the original interior brick walls, and revealed many distinct architectural elements that have characterized this wonderful building since the early 20th century. The Buffalo Room is a semi-private dining room in our restaurant and is available for private dining. It is ideal for larger social dining functions (80 ppl). You can also add on the attached patio for an additional fee (20 ppl).

Barbershop
A true piece of history in Golden. Originally called the “Iler Block," this space now serves as the entry area for the Buffalo Rose restaurant.
This classic old west structure was built in 1871 and was completely restored as part of the recent remodel project. The Barbershop features one of the only exposed brick nogged walls still standing, an original vaulted ceiling, handsome interior wood siding preserved from the Civil War era, and cozy lounge seating arrayed thoughtfully around a stone fireplace. The room opens conveniently out on to a patio along 12th Ave. The room works well for cocktail-style/heavy hors d'oeuvres-style events.

Experience the perfect venue for your event combining authentic Western American history with the convenience of a major metropolitan location.
The Rose is an iconic downtown Golden property. Rental of The Rose Main Venue includes the main venue and lobby and the 2nd-floor mezzanine, Bridal Suite, and Groom's Lounge. The entire event venue can accommodate up to as many as 300 guests for plated meal-type events. For events with MORE than 150 guests, we encourage you to add on the State Room lounge as this provides your guests with more room to spread out for Cocktail Hour and increases the number of bartenders on staff from 2-4.

There is No Better Venue and Team!
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our ceremony and reception at the Rose; our wedding was 3 weeks ago and we STILL can't get over how perfect our day was! We owe our sincerest thanks to Emily Ridenour, our coordinator and wedding-planning wizard, as well as Patricia Zutman for the speedy and informative communication from the get-go. When deciding on the initial aspects of our ideal wedding, an all-inclusive and budget friendly venue were at the top of our list. The Rose exceeded any and all expectations that we had in those aspects and more - so much so that it was the only venue (out of 30 corresponded with) that we viewed and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From initial contact, Patricia and her team were direct and transparent with what the Rose offers and how we could make our dream day a reality. After solidifying our decision, we were blessed to work with Emily prior to and the day of our wedding. She kept in constant communication with us throughout the planning process and made sure we had everything covered along the way. I cannot fully articulate how incredibly amazing Emily is at planning and executing an event without a hitch! In addition to her assistance with planning and day-of coordination, we added her decor/set-up/tear down service - as a DIY bride this was an absolute blessing and truly brought my vision to life. We received countless compliments throughout the night (and to this day) about how awesome Emily was and how perfectly the night went. Along with Emily and Patricia, we are truly grateful to all the amazing staff that helped make our wedding as magical as it was. The bartenders, servers, and cooks (and everyone in between) made the experience an unforgettable one for us and our guests. The Rose's food is beyond words in terms of quality, look and taste. We had the 14er Buffet Style Menu and were obsessed with the beef medallions and pork loin. Drinks were made consistently perfect and there was never a line for 100 guests! We cannot thank the Rose enough for giving us the most beautiful day. We will ALWAYS recommend them #1 to anyone looking for their dream team & venue 3
The Rose Made Our Dream Wedding a Reality!
From the moment we started planning, Patricia at The Rose was an absolute lifesaver. Her responsiveness was unparalleled, always available to answer our questions and offer guidance. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel special throughout the entire process. Patricia provided an abundance of helpful resources, including links and tips that proved invaluable in our wedding planning journey. The rehearsal the day before the wedding was incredibly calming. Patricia's warmth and enthusiasm created a relaxed atmosphere, allowing us to just be excited about the weekend to come and significantly reducing the stress of the big day. When we walked into the venue on our wedding day, we were absolutely blown away. It looked more spectacular than we could have ever imagined. Our wedding was in August 2024 and we held our reception at The Rose. Even before we signed our contract, Patricia had great communication, was a wealth of knowledge, made us feel comfortable, and answered all of our questions. Then based on the day we selected for our reception, Emily was our day of coordinator. Emily is just as detail oriented and communicative as Patricia. They make an excellent team, are a pleasure to work with, and are phenomenal at what they do. Truly! They know every question to ask to ensure every detail is executed to your vision and that's exactly what happened. Our day was absolutely perfect. We got so many compliments on the venue and the food! We chose their BBQ menu, an assortment of desserts (the churros were a big hit), and late night snacks. We can't recommend The Rose Venue, Patricia, Emily, and The Rose team enough!

"We recently hosted our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner & Welcome drinks at The Rose Event Center. We worked with Emily and have nothing but huge praise. She is super responsible, patient, knowledgeable and exudes excellent project management skills. We started with a rehearsal dinner for 40 and the staff quickly turned over the room to host 150 for welcome drinks. The marquee sign announcing their wedding week was an unforgettable touch! Food, service (multiple bartenders) & ambience were great. Pleasure to work with you Emily & very grateful to have had you on our team."
