Incredible experience!
Don’t even know where to begin! This venue is absolutely INCREDIBLE and the staff is even more so. From the very start, Kim and Lorien were true partners: bringing our vision to life, setting expectations where needed, and helping us create the most perfect weekend. We had several non-traditional requests, and Kim and the team felt just as invested in making them happen as we were which meant so much. The inn is such a gem and the perfect place to stay with friends and family. The food was out of this world (truly the best wedding food we’ve ever had…and many of our guests agreed!). The barn and property have such a special feel that made the entire experience unforgettable. We are beyond grateful we chose this venue for our wedding and would give it more stars if we could 3
Wedding Vendor Coordination
I’ve now had two experiences working at the Inn at Round Barn in Waitsfield, VT — one in 2024 and one recently in 2025 — and both were unfortunately marred by significant communication and coordination issues with the venue’s wedding coordinator, Renee. On both occasions, I had confirmed wedding day hair and makeup timelines with Renee weeks in advance. She was very responsive and supportive in her emails leading up to the wedding, making me feel confident we were on the same page. However, each time on the day-of, that communication completely broke down. For example, my team and I arrived promptly at 5:30 AM for 18 services- and ran every hair and makeup service precisely on schedule — even allowing time for special moments like selfies, snacks, and a few happy tears & champagne toasts along the way! Despite this, we were rushed out verbally and rudely in front of the entire wedding party, as if we were an hour behind. This all came to a head when the photographer — who arrived at 12:25 PM — began pushing us to leave the bridal suite more than an hour before our agreed-upon contracted end time. When I showed him our wedding day timeline, he physically stopped me from performing my final touch-ups with the bride. Renee then admitted that she never thought to share the hair and makeup timeline with him, creating this entirely avoidable overlap. This is the second time I’ve had a similar experience at this venue. Even after providing emails confirming the timeline — in front of the bridal party, fellow vendors, and the photographer — the venue initially tried to shift the blame onto my team and I BEFORE admitting their mistake. The Inn at Round Barn is undeniably a beautiful location, but these repeated communication breakdowns and lack of professionalism during the most crucial hours of a wedding day have been really upsetting not only to vendors, but to the brides celebrating. The venue has the potential to offer a top-notch experience if they can improve their coordination and basic hospitality — especially given the level of talent ALL of the vendors bring to their property!
Best venue ever
The Inn at the Round Barn Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding. Their communication throughout the planning process was present, proactive, and consistent - they always responded quickly and kept us on track with timelines and details. The venue itself is beautiful, unique, and captivating - the lush gardens and enchanting barn provided a gorgeous backdrop for our photos and ceremony. On the wedding day, they kept everything running smoothly and on time, while also being incredibly kind and ensuring the whole event went according to plan. I could not have pulled off such an incredible wedding without the venue's fantastic coordination and attention to detail - special shout out to Kim (the woman who owns it) and Loriann! I would not change a single thing about our special day there. I highly recommend The Inn at the Round Barn Farm if you're looking for a venue that delivers excellent service in an utterly captivating setting!
