However, we wish you had shared your name so we could better understand your perspective, as we are confident this review did not come from the couple themselves. Their communication with us was kind, positive, and full of appreciation for all the efforts made to ensure their celebration was a success, up until the unfortunate intoxication incident among a few guests. As a guest, we understand your frustration and desire to enjoy the evening. However, The couple had booked the DJ and Bartender services till 9 p.m., not 10. Our personal agreement with the couple clearly stated that the venue rental was until 10:00 p.m., and this time included both cleanup and pickup. We even extended the evening by half an hour out of courtesy because the couple was having such a wonderful time and played our own sound system after the Dj left, also out of courtesy. Around 9:00 p.m., the couple kindly offered us a drink and expressed their gratitude, asking how much longer they had before wrapping up. I remember the time clearly because I looked at my watch. We let them know they had about 30 more minutes before announcing it to guests to start wrapping up/cleanup, which usually takes 30 minutes. They then asked if it would be possible to extend to 10:30 p.m., and we gladly agreed making an exception for immediate family and close friends, as long as it was not loud past 10 and everything was cleared by then out of respect for our neighbors. The bride and groom were so grateful for the entire planning process that they even extended an invitation to take us out to dinner. Unfortunately, after the intoxication incident at around 9:30 p.m., the atmosphere shifted, some guests became disrespectful, and the situation began to get out of control. At one point, an intoxicated guest was inside our powder room yelling and causing a scene about the incident among other guests. Several guests asked me to intervene because she was making the situation worse. I asked her repeatedly to leave, but she ignored me. I hope you understand how stressful this was to manage, and why I had to step in firmly. If it came across as harsh, we apologise it was never our intention to upset anyone, only to maintain safety and order. Please understand that as venue owners, we must follow the agreed-upon terms and respect our neighborhood and city noise ordinances. The couple was fully aware of these rules prior to the agreement, and the bride was pleased with them. We understand that not all guests may have been aware since they weren’t part of the planning. The couple also knew that when a DJ is present, we must stay within a specific decibel level. We use a professional decibel tracker to ensure levels stay within limits and to avoid any disruption or police involvement. Up until that point, the evening was filled with joy and many positive comments from guests. Even after the incident, about 20 guests remained on-site until around 10:40 p.m., helping clean and address the situation. Again, we’re truly sorry the night ended on a stressful note. Jennifer, Where do I even begin to express how genuinely grateful we are for guests like you, your wonderful husband, and your entire bridal party, family, and friends.. This wedding celebration was truly one of the best, and it’s all because of the amazing people who were part of it. You all brought such a positive energy and beautiful, grateful attitude!
