The Dery House, the largest estate in the Lehigh Valley, is a historic mansion built in 1917 and the perfect setting for unforgettable celebrations. Once home to the prominent Dery family, leaders in the region’s silk industry, the mansion reflects timeless beauty with its historic architecture, grand details, and inviting atmosphere. Today, it has been lovingly restored to host weddings and special events with grace and sophistication. Couples will find two exquisite ballrooms designed to accommodate receptions of all sizes. The beautifully landscaped outdoor grounds provide endless photo opportunities, while the charming patio is ideal for hosting romantic ceremonies under the open sky. For added comfort and luxury, the mansion features private bridal suites and well-appointed luxury suites for overnight stays. Did the makeup services for a wedding
The Dery House team specially Sam ensured every detail ran seamlessly, coordinating beautifully with all vendors to keep the timeline smooth. Their attentive staff went above and beyond to create a warm and stress-free environment for the couple and their guests. It’s always a pleasure working with The Dery House. Sam gives The venue’s charm, attention to detail, and exceptional hospitality make it a dream location for both couples and vendors. Highly recommend for unforgettable celebrations.

The place is amazing lots of space indoors and out it has everything you need to throw whatever kind of event you ent to throw the mansion was built long ago it has a vintage look. The built in bar is beautiful huge ballrooms and has its own kitchen Sam the event coordinator is awesome she will make the party happen and your dream come true.
Disappointment Disorganized, Security Breach
While the building itself is beautiful, our experience was extremely disappointing. Since the upfront impression and communication was that we had hired professionals, the implementation and execution quickly broke down that facade. Despite a detailed, previously reviewed plans, wedding set up was chaotic — tables weren’t set up as agreed, mismatched chairs were provided (one even broke under a guest), and our detailed seating chart was implemented haphazardly and incorrectly, causing many guests to be seated in socially uncomfortable places and in spaces that didn’t account for physical limitations. Our bridal suite, rented for two nights, was poorly maintained — housekeeping never emptied the garbage, refilled toilet paper or towels, leaving me unable to use the bathroom when I woke up the morning after our wedding. On the wedding day, the coordinator's stress clear to us and our bridal party but still found the time to prioritize photos and videos of our event for their marketing materials. I was also scolded multiple times throughout the event; the first for being 15 minutes late for the ceremony. My husband and I were never even welcomed to the buffet for dinner. Despite drinkware being part of our contract, the venue provided only one cup per guest for the entire night and refused to wash or restock them — my bridal party had to DoorDash additional cups to keep the bartender stocked. To make matters worse, several wedding cards were stolen from our card box. Police obtained the venue’s security footage and confirmed a 40-minute lapse in the recording right after a guest left for the after-party. We attempted to address these issues formally with the owner, but instead of responding personally, our letter was passed to the coordinator. The response we received was defensive, exaggerated, and contained untrue statements. The venue has potential, but the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic security completely tainted what should have been the best day of our lives. I would not recommend this venue to any couple.

The seating chart and guest placements were provided by your team, and our staff followed those directions without modification. Regarding the bridal suite, our records and photos show that the suite required professional cleaning and replacement of several items after your stay. We appreciate your understanding that this situation required additional care and expense. As for the timeline of your day, our team and your vendors coordinated closely and served dinner and cocktail hour as planned within the contracted event hours, which concluded at 10 p.m. We also want to address the concern regarding missing cards. This matter was immediately reported to local authorities, and we have fully cooperated with their investigation, including providing all available footage. While we regret that your overall experience did not reflect the joyful occasion we strive to create, we stand by the professionalism of our team and the services provided that day.
