Five Daughters Vineyard

Your happily ever after starts at the farm.

The barns, the farmhouse, the horse pastures all began to fit those late-night talks and dreams. Despite the property being untouched since the 70’s, the white farmhouse was breathtaking. Outside, we could feel the history in the old barns, hand-hewn beams surrounding us… it was all love at first sight!

This venue provides a lovely setting, but our experience was significantly marred by operational issues and a lack of professionalism. While kind, the staff were unorganized. Several key verbal agreements and promises were not documented or fulfilled, leading to major disappointments. There were post-event accusations regarding alcohol containers left in the parking lot. The photo provided to us did not convincingly prove the items belonged to our guests or were found in the reported location. We feel the venue's policy unfairly penalizes clients for the unavoidable actions of guests. A primary concern was the unannounced assignment of a staff "helper" who had unrestricted, unsupervised access to the bridal suite where personal belongings were kept. This lack of security contrasts with the punitive dog agreement, which unfairly threatened our deposit if our dog was not leashed inside the private suite, an area that should have remained private and secure. Due to these significant concerns regarding organization, accountability, and intrusive policies, we cannot recommend this venue unless they implement serious changes to their business practices and client service standards.

Five Daughters from the outside looks great. Open up the doors behind the scene on how it is communicated and ran, huge mess. It is a "Family" run business with the owners living on the property. Between 1 to 5 family members were on site (not working) sitting on swings and walking around the whole time. It felt very invasive and unprofessional. The Groom sweet / changing area wasn't completed as promised which made things difficult with trying to keep the bride and groom separated. Also not communicated they hired or had a Sheriff sit in their car in the parking lot the whole time. Again it just felt very invasive and almost made to intimidate guests. All rules for setting up and tearing down with cleaning etc. were followed to a "T" and we are people that leave things better than we found it. Five Daughters found no "Damage" but said certain rules were not followed which were untrue. They took advantage of this young couple and decided to keep 500 of the deposit. This is taking money from young adults who are starting off their life and trusted this company with the most important ceremony in their life. If this is the kind of treatment you want by all means go for it But you have been warned! Very disappointed!

This farm is absolutely gorgeous, however, there were many issues working with the venue. The inconsistencies and disorganization have been the downfall of our opinion of Five Daughters. From the very beginning, we were told things verbally that were either not in the contract or that were denied later on. For instance, it was never communicated, nor was it in the contracts we signed that there was a 4-hour limit on the bar. We only found that out when we saw the additional charge on the bar package invoice, 30 days prior to the wedding. Thankfully, they worked with us on this, but be sure that what you discuss is ALL in writing. Secondly, it was communicated several times that Adam would have a functional and comfortable Groom Suite, which ended up being not being the case and he had to utilize the Bridal Suite when I wasn’t in there to cool off in the hours before the ceremony. It was very inconvenient to have to share the Bridal Suite with the men in order to get relief from the heat that day. Also, there was not any previous communication regarding a sheriff being present during the reception, yet he came up to the reception barn to ensure his presence was known by the guests and then sat at the gate as all of our guests left our reception, all of which felt very intrusive. Beware that they WILL hold you accountable for the independent behavior of your guests, and if any alcohol containers are found on the premises (including bridal suite, parking lot, literally anywhere), they will keep your deposit. They claimed to have found alcohol containers at our wedding, however, the photo provided didn’t show clear evidence that they were left by OUR guests, and it doesn’t even appear to have been taken in the parking lot where they were reportedly found. We communicated this rule to our guests beforehand, AND there are signs around the venue, but ultimately people will make their own choices and you will be punished for them. I was also assigned a “helper” on the day of that was never discussed previously who had free reign of the bridal suite even when no one else was present. All of our belongings were stored inside and we all found it VERY odd that anyone would need to be in the suite while we were not in there. This was also the reason they claimed that no dogs were allowed (to protect staff while they are in the room). When I persisted about bringing my pup, they relented, but had us sign a hold harmless agreement which stated the dog had to be leashed at all times, including INSIDE the bridal suite or else they will keep your deposit. Overall, my family and I would not recommend this venue unless they made some serious changes to how they do business.
