Whether you have your heart set on an elegant wedding in a stunning chapel with vaulted glass ceilings that reach to the sky or an intimate romantic outdoor ceremony in our lush gardens – you will find the perfect setting at Garvan Woodland Gardens. We are the 210-acre botanical garden of the University of Arkansas located on the shore of beautiful Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, just 45 minutes southwest of Little Rock. The Ouachita Mountains surrounds us. With breathtaking bridges, waterfalls and cascades, stunning architectural features, and beautiful flowers year-round, the gardens offer the perfect setting for making lifetime memories. As soon as you enter our botanical oasis, you’ll see why Garvan Woodland Gardens has been recognized as one of the most spectacular gardens in America.

    Our experience with Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens was extremely disappointing. Their communication style was awful, disrespectful, and uncaring throughout the planning process. Despite the beautiful location, the quality of their work and value was severely lacking. For example, they did not get the music cues correct during our ceremony, and when we brought this to their attention, they simply blamed others and were very rude in their response. We expected a much higher level of professionalism and attention to detail from a venue of this caliber, but unfortunately that was not the case. We would not recommend Anthony Chapel to any couples looking to have a stress-free, memorable wedding day.

We take concerns about communication and professionalism very seriously, and unfortunately, the wedding coordinator you contracted with for your event did not adhere to our organization's policies and procedures, as outlined in our contract. We are the venue, and the wedding coordinator manages the timing and details of the event. We're also reviewing our ceremony procedures, including music cue coordination, to prevent similar issues in the future.
