Movies turned me into the ultimate romantic dreamer, leading me — an economics phd to quit academia and pursue my love for food, hospitality and events. Since then, I’ve made every kind of wedding magic happen for every kind of scenario you can imagine: from cinematic Bollywood-style extravaganzas at venues like The Bowery Hotel and St. Regis in Aspen, to more intimate celebrations at homes.

I love an unconventional wedding and truly believe that they should be a reflection of you. I thrive on getting to know you and what is important to you and ensuring those small details that hold meaning come to life on your wedding day.

    Seema made and saved our wedding many times over. We were initially intrigued by her economist background, but won over totally by her offering to handle communication with and incessant questions from our families. She never let on that this was frustrating or even irritating, though we can only imagine it was both. Each time we spoke with her, we were immediately put at ease. We dealt with several venues that were difficult to work with, and through each hurdle Seema calmly navigated us into a place of certainty that she would take care of it. On the Tuesday before our wedding, our caterers abruptly canceled. Seema let us know this information while also sharing she had multiple backup plans underway. She managed this so seamlessly we never once stopped to be anxious about it—in fact, we barely thought about it at all until showing up to our wedding to find that indeed there was catering present. Our venue was a natural wine bar, not accustomed to having weddings, and certainly not set up for it. There was not enough room for a traditional seated ceremony or an aisle. We went in with the understanding that this would feel like a DIY wedding, and to let go of any expectations of it looking a certain way. We hardly discussed decor or ceremony flow, relying instead on the bar's aesthetic. And yet, when we made our entrance, we were greeted by friends and families neatly arranged along the sides of the space with a clear aisle for us to walk through. How she managed to tetris the space so effectively we'll never know. We are two controlling, hyper-opinionated, exacting eldest daughters, and we felt completely at peace letting Seema take the reins on many aspects of our wedding. We shared our vision with her and were confident she would execute it. While we won't miss wedding planning, we already feel nostalgic of the times we got to spend with Seema.

    You must hire Seema! I truly don’t know how our wedding would have happened without her. From our very first meeting, she jumped right in—sending us ideas and helping bring our vision to life even before we officially hired her. That kind of energy and commitment carried us through the entire process, especially during moments when we felt exhausted and overwhelmed. She always brought us back to what mattered most: us, our families, and our guests. Seema’s wisdom, experience, and passion for her work make her exceptional at what she does. She has a wide network, communicates clearly, and knows how to navigate vendors with ease—even in challenging situations. Every detail exceeded our expectations, and it was incredible to see all of our hard work come together so seamlessly. While we were grateful for Seema throughout the planning process, the wedding weekend was where she truly shined. Her calm presence, flawless execution, and eye for detail allowed us to fully relax and savor every moment with our loved ones. By the end of the weekend, it felt like Seema was part of the family—celebrating right alongside us. We received countless compliments from our guests, and it’s clear that Seema was the key to making it all happen. We absolutely love her and cannot recommend her highly enough!

    My spouse and I found Seema on a website called Modern Rebel. We initially only hired Seema as a day of coordinator because we thought we could handle three separate events and a guest list of over 200 people. As one would expect, we quickly felt overwhelmed and asked Seema for her opinion on a few things. Seema took the initiative and offered to take certain things completely off our plate, which we were incredibly thankful for! Within the first couple of meetings, it was clear what a professional she is in the world of wedding prep, and so she took on the role of a planner for most of our entire wedding weekend. She helped us navigate with grace everything from the food, to flatware rentals, to itineraries, to a last minute snafu with our wedding decorator. My spouse and I also wanted to have a lot of personal touches for our wedding, including custom stage backdrops that we made ourselves, custom table name cards, a gift table, unique name cards for guests, a food truck, and much more. Anyone else may have told us to let go of a few ideas and simplify but not Seema! She was flexible, excited about our ideas, and best of all she pulled off all of our weird and creative silly ideas. If you are looking for a unique, personal wedding weekend that feels like YOU, Seema is the person who will cheer you on. Her team is also fantastic. Every person that Seema brought to work on our event was kind, attentive, and ensured that the events went well. At no point did our guests feel unattended to, and it really felt like the weekend could not have gone better. There were times it felt like she literally worked magic to make something happen, like when we needed a seating chart for the pre-wedding Sangeet because my spouse and I forgot to prep the file for her, and she got something drafted, printed, and on site looking beautiful and in the same color scheme as the rest of our materials on the day of the event (I still have no idea how she did that). I have so many lovely memories of the weekend and I feel so thankful to Seema and her team for that gift! In short, I can't say enough good things about Seema. It really felt like having a beloved family member helping us with our event, because you could tell that she cared just as much about the details as we did. (Warning, you may be susceptible to wanting to be her best friend by the end of your wedding too because she's just that cool). I would have complete faith in her to handle a wedding of any kind because she is just such an adaptable person and she will be your calm in the storm!
