  • So unprofessional and disappointing

I want to start by noting I've seen Brandon's manipulative responses to other negative reviews that eventually get removed, and I expect the same might happen here. We've spent nearly two months trying unsuccessfully to resolve these issues directly with Brandon. My wife and I are a lesbian couple, and we hired Brandon and Crimson Quarter for our April 2025 wedding specifically because they're LGBTQ-owned, hoping they'd smoothly execute the wedding we meticulously planned ourselves. Instead, the weekend genuinely would’ve gone smoother and more stress-free if we did everything ourselves. There are too many grievances to get in this character limit, so I will stick to the biggest. Brandon arrived unprepared for our rehearsal, claiming he'd never received essential details (he had). I had to run the rehearsal myself twice, and still run through how things would go as we were lined up to walk on the actual wedding day. On the wedding day, Brandon never communicated with key vendors, causing significant disruptions I had to fix myself while getting ready on the day of the wedding. Our aisle was incorrectly set up, forcing everyone to walk single file despite them knowing my wife and I were both walking with both of our parents (this made for a very awkward moment when it should’ve been one of the most special moments of all our lives). Brandon and Adam mishandled our floral confetti and music cues, ruining special, planned moments during our ceremony, and leaving me to signal our string duo to start playing in front of all our guests. Over 20 guests were locked outside the venue until minutes before the ceremony started, wasting the live music we'd arranged. At the reception, Brandon and Adam didn't transfer important items from the ceremony, didn’t coordinate cake cutting with the venue, and failed to flip an essential room, meaning only 3 guests signed our guestbook. They also didn't manage the timeline or guest departure, resulting in our first dance & toasts starting 20 mins late and nearly causing extra venue charges at the end of the night. Professionalism was seriously lacking. Brandon and Adam were repeatedly late, including by nearly two hours on our wedding day. They behaved unprofessionally during our rehearsal dinner, consuming alcohol and smoking excessively. Vendors and guests questioned their competence and sobriety. Shockingly, they fought openly during our private sweetheart dinner, telling us “this is what you have to look forward to”, and left the venue early without cleaning as agreed, but not without offering to buy the reception venue from the owner while on the clock. Brandon overpromised significantly—offering extra décor help, breakfast pickup, and more—but delivered nothing as promised. Instead, we got unfinished (& broken) décor and breakfast that was hours late. Despite hours of planning calls and detailed documents with information, contingency plans, etc., Brandon and Adam were constantly disturbing me with questions that they had the answers to during the rehearsal dinner, before the ceremony, and during the reception, when I should’ve been spending precious time with people I never get to see and celebrating with my wife. The final insult was Brandon calling us "bride and groom" at our rehearsal, despite specifically seeking LGBTQ-friendly services. This was genuinely the worst 1,500 I've ever spent. I strongly advise against hiring Brandon and Crimson Quarter; no couple deserves this experience.

Brandon and Adam, to be very generous, overpromised and underdelivered. I could go on and on about the things that they messed up throughout our wedding weekend, but I don’t want to bore anyone with details. I just want other couples, especially LGBTQ couples, to make an informed decision about who they are hiring for their wedding. Many of our frustrations are reflected in other lower star reviews, some of which have suspiciously disappeared since we originally saw them. Major frustrations include: A lack of professionalism so apparent that multiple vendors asked “Where did you find those guys?” Poor communication with guests and vendors, sharing false information, and leading to confusion Referring to the bride and groom’s sides during our rehearsal (we are both women) (in addition to doing absolutely no prep work for the rehearsal) Disorganization leading to timing being pushed, leaving less time for later elements of the reception Offering things outside of the contract that we would have done, but didn’t because they said they’d take care of them, only to learn later that they messed them up Using the room we had our sweetheart dinner in as storage, coming in and out while we were eating, stressing about set up things that should have already happened, and complaining about each other and disparaging marriage Continuously finding my wife and I and taking us away from friends and family to ask us questions we’d already answered Overall, hiring Brandon and Adam added to our stress levels throughout our wedding weekend, when the whole reason we hired coordinators was to reduce our stress. We spent so much time and energy planning our wedding and the details, so it was beyond disappointing to see such little care taken by our coordinators. We didn’t expect things to go perfectly, but we were so disappointed by how many things went poorly despite our planning and foresight. We would have been better off hiring no one.

Crimson Quarter Weddings and Events was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication style was quick, authentic and positive - they made me feel valued as a client even though I was on a modest budget. The attention to detail and personalized service they provided went above and beyond my expectations. Crimson Quarter Weddings went out of their way to ensure my wedding day went seamlessly, helping me navigate all the vendor communications and details. As a locally owned small business, they truly delivered an authentic New Orleans wedding experience with exceptional value. I highly recommend Crimson Quarter Weddings and Events to any couple looking for a genuine, personal touch for their special day!

I'm so happy I went with Crimson. Brandon and Adam were my absolute ride or dies. I hired them for day of coordination. I'm very Type A, so I had everything planned out, but they were lovely to regularly check in with and spit ideas off of and helped to refine my vision. I did all my planning out of state and sight unseen, so I was definitely nervous to arrive and see all my vendors and decor when I arrived, but Adam and Brandon really picked up the ball and ran with it once I arrived to NOLA. They were so helpful the day before to help run last minute errands and we luckily got into the venue early to set everything up. My friend was officiating, so they helped with the timing of the ceremony and everything. The day of they did an AMAZING job in finishing all the decorating and helping to flip the space from ceremony to reception. Even before the wedding, they picked us all up breakfast and coffee which was so sweet. I was honestly so at ease the day of the wedding because they anticipated every need. After everything, I can definitely say these guys are friends and I'm so happy we went with them because they really went above and beyond to help execute the most wonderful and stress free day.
