We are a happily married couple and before starting our business, Mark worked as a photojournalist and Emily focused on fine art photography. We love weddings - from start to finish, we are there for you to make sure we meet all your needs and to make beautiful photographs that will last a lifetime.

We got married last Sunday and hired Emily and Mark Thomson to photograph our wedding. They were FANTASTIC!!! They went above and beyond to capture all of our photo requests, make sure our day ran on schedule, and support us through this special day. Emily even helped me with my bustle when it was giving me trouble and helped me enjoy the small moments when I got nervous. They sent our previews two days after the wedding and they are GORGEOUS!! I could not wait to post and share with family and friends. They also met us at our venue a few weeks before to do a walk through and make sure they knew the layout. We cannot recommend Emily and Mark enough for your wedding as the most thoughtful, caring, professional, incredible photographers.

Emily and Mark are professional and organized, yet brought a calm demeanor and flexibility to our wedding day. Exactly what we needed! They made sure to get all of our important shots and organized our family photos with varying social dynamics so well. The photos are beautiful and they got them back to us quickly! Mark and Emily are the dream team for photographers. When we first started considering photographers for both our engagement photos and wedding day, we were clueless about what we were looking. After several conversations with Mark and Emily and looking through their portfolios, we were confident that they would be the right choice for us. They are truly professionals in their art as they were easy to feel comfortable/ourselves around, always responsive, and always took our requests into consideration. When we first tried to do our engagement photos by the beach, it was a windy and dreary day. We arrived at our photo shoot location after a 1.5hr drive and were disappointed, but ready to suck it up and accept that the weather would be less than desirable. Mark and Emily took one look around, decided it would be better on a different day and suggested that we reschedule – with no additional charges despite traveling even farther than we did to the shoot. After the second attempt, our engagement photos turned out better than we could have ever dreamed and we used them in our save the dates, invites, and website. Leading up to the wedding, Emily was fantastic in helping us outline the day-of schedule. The Thomsons have so much experience in shooting weddings that they knew exactly how long every part of the day would take for a wedding of our size. We walked through our venue with them, where we outlined backup locations for the first look and family portraits in case the weather was not cooperating. Our wedding planner at the venue even pulled us aside afterwards to comment on how professional and on top of it Mark and Emily were. After planning and preparing with Mark and Emily ahead of the big day, they showed up perfectly on time the day of the wedding and everything went off without a hitch. Portraits were streamlined and they were able to work together to seamlessly keep the day moving and worry free for us. We had complete faith in Mark and Emily and they were one of our best decisions that we made in our wedding planning process. We get compliment after compliment on our pictures and could not have imagined going with anyone else for the best day of our lives.

Typically, couples book us about 10-12 months before their wedding date. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about our availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Since we are co-owners we always shoot your wedding together so you will get more photos and a greater variety compared to a single photographer (even with an assistant) Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra.

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. We also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

No, we prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. We do have a list of videographers we have worked with over the years that do great work.

Our turnaround time varies by season. We always send a "Sneak Peek" of about a dozen images within a day or two. Typically, you’ll be receive your final photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding at which time you can share them with your loved ones and order prints.

You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Absolutely! Just let us know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and we’ll send that over to them.

In our 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, we’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that one or both of us are unable to photograph your wedding, we’ll make sure you’re covered by one of our colleagues and also provide you with a list of photographers from our network, so you can find the perfect replacement.
