  • Felt like we were in a movie

I’ve never liked being on camera, but they made it feel like we were just living in the moment — not performing. There’s this one shot of us walking back from the ceremony, shoes off, sun setting behind us, and it looks like a still from a film. The video caught my brother’s terrible toast and somehow made it feel sentimental. I didn’t think wedding media could feel this personal.

We didn’t want anything overly posed or stiff, and somehow they managed to capture all the real stuff — my dad adjusting his tie nervously, my niece stealing cupcakes before dinner, even the way the light hit the trees during our vows. The video made me cry more than I did on the actual day. It felt like watching a memory unfold, not just footage. Truly, it was like they saw the day the way we felt it.
