Hi there! My name is Janelle, a 26-year-old Metro Detroit based photographer passionate about capturing emotional moments. Whether it’s your wedding day, engagement, or growing family, my top priority is staying true to the essence of each scene—preserving it in time for you to cherish forever. Aquí también se habla español! Photography is a part-time pursuit for me, I also work full-time and stay active in the Detroit alternative music scene as a concert photographer.

As mentioned, I’m passionate about capturing the emotions of the moment. Whether it’s the intimacy of a wedding, the energy of live concerts, or the quiet beauty of candid moments. I will and have also assisted in day-of timeline planning for those who do not have a coordinator. My duties will go beyond just photography if it means making the day easier for you.

    I went with Santacruz imagery because I knew Janelle would be able to capture us perfectly! She’s very thoughtful in her approach and we knew we would feel extremely comfortable with her. She made our day so special and made us feel like superstars through a lens!! Not to mention she travelled many many miles from Michigan to Massachusetts for this day, forever grateful! The best memories forever captured by a beautiful soul with a beautiful vision.

    Santacruz Imagery was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication was excellent - they always responded to our inquiries within 24 hours, if not faster. The quality of their work is truly outstanding, and the photographer has an incredible eye for the most flattering poses. We've only done our engagement session so far, but the results were amazing - she made us feel so relaxed and comfortable, and the pictures came out beautifully.
