So here's the tea... I'm a wise-cracking, extroverted Capricorn who excels at corralling your rowdy family for photos and charming Aunt Carol, the self-deemed professional iPad photographer. Ever since I was little, huddled on the couch with my five siblings rewatching The Lion King, I knew that I wanted to be a storyteller. Growing up in a creative household, I studied a wide range of arts before settling on filmmaking. I envisioned in my head that I would be the next Spielberg, but after shooting my first wedding in 2013 all my plans changed.

I first started in this industry as a filmmaker and transitioned to doing weddings after shooting my first one in 2013. Because of my background, I approach each wedding as if it were a film and make sure your photos have the best lighting, angles and that you and your partner feel comfortable being in front of the camera.

    Maya is truly THE BEST photographer in Arizona!! From the very first moment you meet her, the joy and passion that she brings is contagious! How much she cares is not only evident in the photographs she captured, but also in every interaction and step leading up to our wedding day. She asked detailed questions to get to know us better and help us plan, listened without judgement, was our biggest cheerleader, and provided support that we didn't even know we needed in the moment. Photography was one of the most important things for us on our wedding day - to have every moment, emotion, and memory captured forever - and before meeting Maya, was something I was nervous about getting "right". But after meeting Maya, those feelings were replaced with excitement! And now after our wedding, I can genuinely say we made the absolute best decision!! She not only captured our engagement and wedding perfectly, but added so much to our wedding day!! She pours her heart into her work, surpassing every hope I had, going above and beyond what any other photographer would ever do (literally)! When it comes to one of the most special days of your life, like your wedding, Maya is the person that you want there!

    If you are looking for the best, I mean the BEST photographer out there, look no further!!! We wanted someone who would “get us”, to be able to navigate all the craziness of an older audience… we were a small party but one with multiple challenges and Maya made it fun, entertaining, and exciting. She got everyone to participate no matter how much they declined. I’m so grateful that we found Maya! She’s full of energy and she goes out of her way to make sure that everyone is included, double checks with the bride and groom to make sure that we got everything covered that we wanted. By the end of our initial interview with her, she already felt like part of the family… if I had to do it all over again, I would hire her in a hot second!!! (I'll probably created reasons to hire her brilliance again.) Don’t let this one get by!!! Every BRIDE needs a MAYA!!! If I have a need to hire a photographer again, for any reason, I’ll be calling Maya!!! (I’ll probably create reasons just so I can hire her brilliance again) She will capture moments you didn’t realize existed, it’s so heartwarming to see all the smiles captured during the “candid moments”. Our Best Man even commented on how much we were all smiling during the entire day, and how refreshing it was to see so many happy people! We didn’t just have a wedding, we had an experience! Thank you Maya for everything you did to make our day so extraordinary!!!
