I'm an Oregon based freelance photographer, specializing in photojournalistic styled and candid portraits. I’ve acquired my knowledge through personal experience, educational courses, and working under a wedding photographer as an editor. When I’m not running around with camera gear- I am working in my garden, crabbing on the coast, or traveling near and far in search of new adventures. Whatever I do, I want to live fully and creatively. I am dedicated to creating a comfortable experience, capturing raw emotions, and working closely with my couples to make sure their vision is cherished for years to come.

My candid style of photography allows my couples to look back at their day and relive the joy through genuine moments. I also prefer to collaborate with my couples and allow them to choose the final editing style for photos.

I was on the hunt for a LGBTQ friendly photographer for my engagement photos and wedding, and I was so fortunate to find Sara and her partner, Trinity. Sara and Trinity are beyond incredible both as humans and photographers. When you book these two, you are not only getting incredible, professional photos, you are also getting a duo that will make you feel so comfortable (Sara had to help me put my dress on!). Sara and Trinity will make you laugh, capture your beautiful moments, and they will feel like your best friends. Sara was great about directing us for photos that were more posed, and on the flip side, caught the most beautiful candid/editorial style photos effortlessly. These two are some of the kindest people I have ever met and will capture moments you will hold onto forever. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Sara was absolutely incredible as our wedding photographer! From our very first conversation, they made me feel so comfortable, like I was chatting with a friend who truly understood what I wanted. Her photography is nothing short of art. She has an amazing eye for detail and was able to capture the small, emotional moments that made the day special. Sara and their second shooter (Cat, in our case!) were not only incredibly professional but also so kind and calming. They brought such a peaceful energy, and their presence was both supportive and reassuring without ever being intrusive. They delivered our gallery so quickly, and we were blown away by the quality. Nothing felt rushed, and yet we had our beautiful photos so fast; it was the best surprise! Everyone who has seen them has been incredibly impressed. Overall working with them was fun and we felt like a perfect fit! If you’re looking for a photographer who is not only exceptionally skilled but also kind, responsive, and a joy to be around, Sara is your person. We can’t recommend Luxx Photograpy enough!
