I am here to photograph weddings, couples, and branding sessions for those who are goofy, eccentric lovers and people like me! I absolutely love the magic that is created with the couples and individuals I meet to make their dreams or ideas a reality! If you have a wild spirit, and want your moments captured, lets chat! All are welcome <3
I am definitely a character who dances to the beat of my own drum. I make up dance moves (such as the turkey, it's my famous one, if we work together you may see it in action). I also love the artsy and creative shots, and ensure to capture at least a few of those each session. I have a background in art, so my heart always pulls me in the creative direction. I will, as well always capture the moments you want as well! We will plan a photo guide together to make sure we get everything before the day of!

More than Just a Photographer
I cannot put into words just how instrumental Lauren and her team were to our wedding day. I truly do not think it would have been possible without her. In case you need convincing, here are the top 10 reasons why you should have hired LAR Photography for your wedding yesterday: 1) (the most obvious reason) She is a genius behind the camera. She has a true talent for finding the beauty in every moment and capturing it. 2) She has a knack for making getting your picture taken not feel awkward, something we were very afraid about as people who don't often find themselves in front of a camera. 3) She has a wonderful team of people behind her. Shout out to Jared and Ashley as our second shooter and day-of coordinator respectively! 4) She goes above and beyond to make sure the final product is perfect (ie: color correcting every picture for my beautiful, wonderful maid of honor who unfortunately ordered the wrong color dress). 5) She is an expert on all things weddings. Lauren was the one who answered most of our wedding questions throughout the year-long process. This was not limited to photography questions. She knows how weddings work and gave us invaluable information about our timeline, our rehearsal, coordinating with other vendors, and the logistics of set up and tear down. 6) With Lauren, we felt like we were her only clients. Whenever we had a question, Lauren answered. She truly spent hours with us on the phone during the planning process. 7) On the wedding day, she is not just a photographer. Her and her team took care of literally everything that went wrong. They handled decor that broke. They made sure everyone in the wedding party was taken care of. Lauren even bustled my dress on when my mom and I couldn't figure it out. 8) Lauren is dedicated to her craft and her client's vision. We tasked her with taking a group picture that included every guest at our wedding. Was she too short to do this? Yes. Did she stand on a chair to get the shot anyway? Also yes. 9) The sheer volume of pictures that we got back from our wedding is outstanding. We have hundreds. During our first look through, we saved pictures that really stood out as favorites. We ended up adding 121 pictures to that favorites album. 10) Lauren is just an amazing person. She is dependable, professional, dedicated, compassionate, flexible, and a powerhouse behind the camera. We are so glad we found her.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE
Lauren was absolutely amazing to work with! She made us feel so comfortable even though we are not used to having our photos taken. Her process of prompts rather than posing is so awesome and helped us to look more natural in the photos. She worked so quickly to get us our pictures back and her editing style is just incredible. Every picture was perfect. Thank you Lauren!!

Lauren was an amazing photographer to work with! My husband and I planned to get married in Rockford while living in Houston. Choosing our photographer who was willing to work with our weird circumstance was super important. From the start Lauren was communicative, supportive, and flexible! As a person she is so kind and calming, as a professional her pictures really captured what I envisioned for our wedding day. She was direct about her pricing, her suggestions, and her advice. On my wedding day I didn’t have to worry about a thing and I’m so glad she captured our most important moments.
