Hi, I’m Carson, and I’m based in Columbia, SC! I have been photographing weddings and elopements for over seven years across the country. I recently moved to South Carolina from California, where I lived in Yosemite National Park. While my primary focus is wedding photography, I am also a biologist, which brought me to this beautiful state. I love expressing my creative side through photography and witnessing the joy it brings to my clients. I specialize in a blend of editorial and documentary-style photography. I aim to capture natural moments as the day unfolds, but I’m also happy to give gentle guidance when needed.

My editing style is natural and timeless—full of life and color without being overly filtered. On your wedding day, I bring a calm, reassuring presence to help you feel at ease. I’ll gently guide you through poses while also capturing the authentic, candid moments that matter most. With backup gear and full insurance, you can relax knowing everything is covered. Carson Lillard Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout our wedding day. Their communication style was thorough, responsive, and detailed, which put us at ease leading up to the big day. The quality of their work and dedication to our special occasion was truly exceptional. When an unexpected rainstorm threatened to put a damper on our outdoor ceremony, Carson quickly adapted, using the clear umbrellas my matron of honor surprised us with to get the sweetest, most creative photos that captured all the special moments. Even without perfect natural lighting or the ideal “golden hour”, our pictures came out absolutely phenomenal. Carson was patient and direct in wrangling our large family for group photos, and the end results were stunning. I couldn't be happier with the service and value Carson Lillard Photography provided, and I highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.

Carson was absolutely incredible to work with! We wanted something non traditional and a little backwards as far as timing around the wedding and reception. She captured all the moments and really got our vision. She also did this recovering from a cold! She is dedicated and professional! I cannot say enough great things about her!

Carson was the best photographer we could have asked for! She was super helpful and easy to work with. We really appreciated her flexibility and understanding since things do not always work out as planned. We booked her for both our engagement and wedding photos and both turned out absolutely amazing! We highly reccomend her!
