I could give you my spill about how I started shooting with a film Minolta in middle school and that it tugged my heart so deeply I never set the camera down. But I would rather share with you what I love. What I enjoy. What I'm about. I have a passionate soul. I get way too excited too easily. I smile at just about anything. I'm terrible with names. I'm a retired certified public accountant. I'm allergic to dogs. I own WAY too many shoes. I want a tattoo of a vintage camera. I love what I do so much it takes my breath away. This is me. The real me. Not the "fake, I hope I sold you" me. Now let's see if we can make this thing work.

I catch myself so many times wishing life away and I have to force myself to stop. Take it all in. To not lose site of the little things that make this life worth living. That's why I love photography. Because those little things that you never want to forget become a permanent memory. You know what happens when you look at a photograph? Your mind is immediately reminded of the moments that happened before and after that snapshot along with the emotions you were feeling. That one photograph preserves that moment forever.

BOOK AMANDA MAY PHOTOS! See long review below: My husband and I are from Florida and wanted to get married in Tennessee. Upon looking at venues, we fell in love with Castleton Farms. With our package we had two specific photographers that were included and both ended up being unavailable. I had done research on the vendors listed and Amanda was one of my top picks. By what I felt like was grace of god and met to be, while most of the photographers on Castleton’s list were booked, I reached out to Amanda and she was available! It was honestly one of the BEST decisions we made when picking vendors. Amanda and her team: Amanda and her team are absolutely amazing to work with! Amanda creates a friendship with you and makes you feel so comfortable! She sent us AMP guides for her photography and what to expect. Juan and I read through everything and felt so comfortable and excited. She also gave us insight on specific engagement and wedding things - first looks, outfits, how to make a veil fly and more. She sent us gifts as well! She really thinks of everything and is so sweet. Working with Amanda for engagement/wedding shoots: I’ve worked with photographers in the past and it’s always stressful when they ask you what YOU want to do for photos. Amanda is the first photographer we have worked with that does not do this. She tells you everything to do to capture the most BEAUTIFUL photos and tell your love story. She will tell you where to place your hands or tell you to spin or dip. She takes all the stress out of photos and that’s when Juan and I really fell in love with working with her. Photo shoots with Amanda are enjoyable and not stressful at all! We had such a fun time with her both engagement and wedding day! The Quality of AMP The photos from Amanda and her team speak for themselves. They look straight out of a wedding magazine and honestly look unreal they are so stunning! We are so excited to decorate our house with Amanda May Photos - both engagement and wedding! Her print quality is amazing as well - we ordered from her for our engagement photos to use as decorations for our wedding. We also made a guest book with her that turned out beautiful!! I cannot recommend working with Amanda May Photos for professional photography enough. Trust that Amanda will capture any point in your life whether it’s engagement, wedding, graduation, maturity photos, family photos, and more. She also has many other great options. You will absolutely not be disappointed! Amanda is such a sweetheart and really has felt like a friend to us during this process! We cannot wait to work with her again in the future.

Amanda May is truly a gem! From our engagement pictures to our wedding pictures, we were completely blown away. Each picture was truly beautiful! Amanda May is kind, personable, and extremely talented. I would recommend her time and time again. The absolute BEST!

If you want a photographer who listens, who has phenomenal organization skills and who gives special attention to detail, look no further than Amanda May. My daughter’s wedding day was effortless thanks to her. We haven’t seen all the photos yet, but the ones we have, JUST WOW! Amanda May is special!

We had our daughter's wedding on Saturday, and I was BLOWN away by the photos that were taken by Amanda May Photos! Amanda was the sweetest person to work with and was so fun to hang out with on a very special day! The level of professionalism of her photos was absolutely AMAZING!!
