Rev. Phil is a full-time wedding officiant. He is real minister (with a Master of Divinity degree). He has been married to Pam for 41 years. He enjoys watching movies (tries to see all the Oscar nominees), reading newspapers on his iPad, the Bears, summer concerts at the Chicago Botanic Garden and wine. He and his wife love to chat, listen to music and drink wine in front of their fireplace or in the backyard, depending on the season.

    Rev. Phil was a light of the day. His words were so amazing and well said and when he spoke about us he was able to truly grasp the uniqueness. He put in the time to be sure to do that, we had multiple meetings with him explaining our love story and the way he put it into a fun, concise, and meaningful ceremony was so great. He was so professional and on top of every detail to make sure we had the perfect day. He cared about absolutely every detail and worked with our venue, dj, photographer in advance of the day to make sure all were on the same page. He ensured the photographer knew important timings and he stepped out of the way before announcing us and the kiss. It was just so perfect, his public speaking was amazing and again the way he was able to tie a tapestry of stories and love, we will be so grateful forever."

    Your 3 flower girls -- the youngest in a red wagon -- were adorable. Chris, you were blinking hard when your bride came down the aisle -- in spite of doing hours of photos with her. What a compliment to be called "a light of the day"! You two are unique -- thanks for saying I captured that. Ceremonies should be "fun, concise and meaningful." That's what I strive for.     Rev. Phil delivered an unforgettably touching, humorous, and unique ceremony that our guests raved about. When we first found Rev. Phil, we didn't have any specific vision for our ceremony - we assumed that since we were looking for a secular ceremony that it would be bare-boned. But after speaking to Rev. Phil (who was glad to perform a secular ceremony!) and watching the love story videos on his website, we clicked immediately and took the plunge. We did go beyond our original budget, but it was so worth it.

    Traffic was 'fun' being the morning of the Chicago Marathon. We all got through it. Secular ceremonies need not be boring. (And, yes, I'm glad to do them. I want the ceremony to reflect the couple, not me.) Sharing your love story was so much fun! The laughter from your guests proved it. So did your guests "raving" about the ceremony. Sharing your love story takes a lot more time and expertise. Thanks for going beyond your original budget, saying that it "was so worth it."

    We feel so lucky to have had Reverend Phil as our officiant—he truly made our outdoor ceremony not only beautiful and memorable, but deeply meaningful. He brought the perfect balance of a religious tone with warmth and sincerity, creating an atmosphere that felt so personal and reflective of us as a couple. Every part of the ceremony was incredibly intentional. Reverend Phil involved us throughout the entire process, from approving the full script to holding a rehearsal on the grounds to ensure everything would go smoothly. He didn’t just officiate—he genuinely acted as a ceremony coordinator, stepping in when needed (including when the wind unexpectedly knocked over and broke our glass vases) and handling it all with calm and care. We can't recommend Reverend Phil enough to any couple looking for a ceremony that’s heartfelt, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable.

    The fans for guests worked well on a hot sunny day. The ceremony was as grand as the new Grand Garden at the Morton Arboretum. Ceremonies should be "beautiful, memorable and deeply meaningful." Thank you for saying that yours was -- since that was my goal. After 1400 weddings, I've learned some things that I am happy to share to make the day go "smoothly" (to quote you). Great photos!
