Hey there! ☺️ My name is Kaitlyn Cother - Professional Hair & Makeup Artist & owner of Becoming Beauty. SATX📍Based Artist - Destination HMU Artist ✈️ I'm a Mama to 3, Wifey for 10 years and a small business owner for 8 years. I was born and raised in New Braunfels, Tx but currently reside and operate in San Antonio, Tx. As I've grown I've learned so much and realized how much my passion for enhancing one's natural beauty was truly growing. After 6 years I officially made the decision to grow my business by adding on a team of 5!

What I believe sets myself as an artist and as a beauty team apart from some others would be: • Communication • Down to earth, authentic • Touch up kits • I build your timeline for you and have you and your coordinator review it so everyone is on the same page • I really take my time with your trial especially and on the wedding day for skin prep and detailed to you makeup and hair • skin prep • always willing to listen to your vision, any changes or concerns and take action accordingly.

Yes we do have a travel fee. For out of town weddings, more than 2 hours one way from my home based studio in Converse Tx, a hotel room must be provided at the same site as the event. If a flight is needed, you must pay for all flight expenses. Any venue more than 20 miles, round trip, away from my home studio location in Converse, Tx will require a travel fee of $50. Additional fees may apply if the mileage increases beyond 50 miles RT or if the Bridal Party has more than 5 services or if there is a time restriction and an additional stylist is required. .95 cents per mile round trip per Artist needed.

Yes! I have a team of 5 experienced hair and makeup artists to accompany me for larger bridal parties or short timelines.

No, trials are not mandatory. Trials give us an opportunity to meet before your big day to ensure we are a good fit for both style and our personalities. An opportunity to review your skins current condition. A great skincare regimen is crucial to how your makeup will look and the longevity of it. For you, it gives the opportunity to envision everything on before the big day and to make any adjustments as needed. Overall, for a bride, trials are a must in my professional opinion. I don't make them mandatory, but I do like to make sure you know all of the benefits 🤍 Plus, you get a $50 discount by bundling your trial and day of services.

I am based out of Converse, Tx which is 5 minutes away from being officially San Antonio, TX. I absolutely travel! Both my team and I do! I travel anywhere in a 2 hour one way radius to my studio in Converse. I do also travel outside of the 2 hour window, out of State and Internationally. I will go over those details in another FAQ 🤍

I absolutely LOVE to have the opportunity for destination weddings! I am based out of San Antonio, Tx but am a traveling/destination Hair and Makeup Artist. - For out of town weddings, a hotel room must be provided at the same or near by site as the event. If a flight is needed, the Bride/client is required to pay for all flight expenses. If the airport is more than 30 minutes away from you venue, a rental car must also be provided. I couldn’t be happier with how my hair turned out for my wedding day! From the trial to the big day, Kaitlyn was nothing short of amazing. Communication with Becoming Beauty - Hair & Makeup Artistry was clear, and Kaitlyn helped provide options and opinions to get me to my desired look. I couldn't have asked for a better person for my day-of makeup! She gave me the look I wanted, and there was absolutely no added stress the day-of. My makeup held all day, and she also provided tips to help maintain it. Booking with Kaitlyn was one of the best decisions I made for wedding vendors - the quality was unmatched for the price and ease of mind. My morning went by so smoothly, and myself plus bridesmaids and mothers all loved their looks. Kaitlyn helped us start the day off strong and beautiful.

Kaitlyn was awesome to work with as my wedding MUA. We had a trial run prior to the actual wedding date & helped tremendously with testing hair & makeup and seeing what features I liked and disliked and wanted to change or enhance prior to the day. Kaitlyn was always punctual, professional, really listened and my makeup for the wedding turned out so beautiful! She is down to earth and a joy to work with . Definitely reccomend!
