Lindsay started her career as a teenager working in the floral department of a local grocer. After graduating with a bachelor’s in fashion and a minor in fiber arts, she retraced her floral tradition with an enlightened approach. Niché Hitch was established in 2016 in Joshua Tree, CA from a repurposed vintage trailer that doubled as a studio space and mobile retailer (hence “Hitch”). It was here Lindsay got her start in the event industry, designing ceremony floral for destination weddings. Niché Hitch has since relocated to Detroit, MI where she has a private studio, and focuses on large scale weddings, events, and installations.

Niché Hitch focuses on exploring unconventional aspects of design, often times incorporating non-floral elements into our work to create designs that are unexpected. This commitment to creating elevated yet personalized floral designs is what sets us apart from traditional wedding florists. We constantly seek ways of pushing the boundaries between floristry and fine art, creating contemporary designs that prioritize the couples vision with an imaginative approach.

Lindsay is a rare talent. We were drawn to her unique style and creativity. It’s one thing to have a vision, but it is another to be able to implement it in real life. She truly listened to us and collaboratively made suggestions for our project, while working within our budget to make our day both look exactly how we wanted it and feel very special. She was punctual, responsive, calm, and tidy on the day. Working with Niche Hitch was an absolute no-brainer for me when it was time to plan my wedding. She is known around the area for her unique and artful style and truly creates more than just floral scapes. It truly is a work of art, whatever you decide to go with in terms of style. Very easy to communicate with, collaborate, and I had zero worries when it came to the day of my wedding. 10/10 experience, and my guests still talk about the floral design to this day.
