Kate LaPietra
The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).
Do you know how hard it is to plan a wedding when you live far away? It feels like you're missing out on something special; not to mention getting someone to talk to you in your time zone! What we do is eliminate the disadvantages of distance with concierge-level communications including prompt responses and flexible hours. Kate at Fountainhead Floral Design was absolutely incredible to work with. From the beginning, she created a vision board that captured exactly what I was hoping for and was so personable and easy to collaborate with throughout the process. I trusted her with creative control, and she truly shined. She brought my vision to life in a way that exceeded anything I could have imagined. We were married on 9.13.25 at Eolia Mansion, and despite a very tight setup window, Kate and her team executed everything perfectly. My wedding bouquet was absolutely stunning and exactly what I dreamed of. Every floral detail felt thoughtful and intentional. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and I would recommend Kate and Fountainhead Floral Design without hesitation to anyone looking for a florist who is creative, professional, and truly talented.

Fountainhead Floral Design was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was clear, concise, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was simply amazing - the bridesmaids bouquets they created for us last minute were absolutely beautiful and perfect, and the centerpieces they designed were breathtaking. I had reached out to them in a panic less than a week before the wedding because my box of DIY bouquets got delayed, and they were able to step in and make the most stunning bridesmaids bouquets with barely any notice. Fountainhead Floral Design truly went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was perfect, and we are so grateful for their incredible service and beautiful work.

Kate was so amazing to work with. I had a vision and a budget and she was able to work with me on making sure we stuck to both of those. I was blown away by all the florals the day of. The arch she created for our ceremony was 10/10! And we were even able to use it for our sweetheart table afterwards. It was exactly what we pictured! Absolutely amazing!!
